Today was an "interesting" collection of deliveries. The (mid) morning started out with a trio of deliveries from RC Boat Bitz, Mini Cat Racing, and Offshore Electrics (a collection of parts for a collection of vehicles.
This was followed in the early afternoon by a pair of deliveries - some Spektrum S615 waterproof mini servos (for whatever boats/vehicles they eventually end up in), and a new Stanley thermos.
Finally, just as I was heading out the door for work, I received a USPS 'delivered' notification, which turned out to be my new scalpel handle, plus a box of 100 #10 scalpel blades (I'm giving up on X-Acto knives, and switching to scalpels).

Had to modify the fender roller to fit an m14 lug bolt. Assembled it with blue LocTite everywhere and went to work.

Like socks on a rooster.

LOL

compared to the 8Max/2200kv that was in it, I'm kinda hoping for a go a bit slower combo. lol

That Max8/2200 combo was silly on 3s, and pure stupidity on 4s. heh

If you want to try "pure stupidity" fast, give FE boating a try. While most run in the 35-55mph range, others can get closer to (and even break) 100mph.

Decided to grab the v2 Radiolink to get the handle buttons. Have a V1 with newest firmware from factory on it for sale with 2 fg6 receivers if anyone is interested.
Came with the one RS7FG receiver, and they had a package deal for a 2nd receiver for 20.00 basically to what the hell.

Also picked up a couple Hitches and Trailer Receivers from the Amazon specials.

And grabbed a set of 13-16 32p 5mm bore pinions.

More like, "Continue to take a GIANT crap on America.". Funny how those blindly following Trump are incapable of swing the crook, and con artist, that he TRULY is. And, no, it doesn't 'pcss me off'...it just to show how blind some people are. It's ok, though...sooner or later, the TRUTH of him WILL be proven, and then you'll see your beloved "chosen one" behind bars for a lengthy stay.

My Jetta’s turbo died last week. So I did a lot of number crunching and searching ‘outside the box’ and came across Holset’s line of Cummins turbos. These do fairly well on small gas burners. More searching and more crunching lead me to the HX30W. Holset doesn’t use conventional math like Garrett or BorgWarner so it’s a little harder to sort out. I had to look for similar displacement builds and the few I found look very promising. JDM, DSM, diesels, euro drift forums for 8-10 hours a day. I’ve seen some dumb isht posted online. Also, being this is a ‘budget turbo’, compared to the bigger names with easier math, many builds fell by the wayside with minor failures. Several were wrecked on the way to the dyno because they were wanting to play with the new power.

I stumbled across a ‘Super’ HX30W today which has a slightly larger compressor wheel and should make more earlier, later, and blow cooler than the standard HX30. Pumped about that score. I have a new t3 manifold coming and my current engine state should support this turbo with a little fuel tweaking across the map and on the top end. Hopefully I have enough injector, the math says I do at 90%, if the head and intercooler piping can take 32psi to 7500rpm. Math says about 410hp and 290tq with everything maxed and IC heat soaked. Winter temps add 40&20.

Video of a guy with same engine and regular HX30. It doesn’t sound like much to some of y’all. Especially those with big displacement.

I was using a fold up dining table as a wrench bench and decided to get something more purposeful in the new place. I found this craft station one space or something like that. It wasn’t very expensive for a desk and has a smaller footprint than the table as well as some handy storage so I’m looking forward to using it.

Saw that desk/craft table. Nice score.

I use one of these Husky adjustable height tables as a bench.

Works well for me.

Yeah, the decals and hat where bonus swag.

Oh, nice coolers! I've been thinking about getting a Yeti, but I like the looks of the Canyon better. Also watched some reviews and looks like the Canyon is the better option over the Yeti.

Great looking Caddy drag car!

Nice desk/work bench! I like the side storage compartments!

I'm trying to figure out what that flat plate is on the front edge of the desk that sticks up above the top???
