Hobbyking has one ridiculously cheap and a 20% off coupon. It ends up about $60 for the kit. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/tamiya-1...kit-58469.html | |

My LHS is going out of business. Everything is 20% and I’m late to the party. They’ve been ransacked it looked like. Some dude was loading up shelves when I saw the big sign. Only crawler left was a Deadbolt. Tires, Proline bodies, Tamiya paints, motors, minis and micros......all raped. But even at 20% they’re just now at internet prices. Small town, small shop, big prices. They’ve got a few knock knacks I’ll snag if they get around 1/2 off from the MIP turnstile and the Axial parts rack. Walked away sad but made one good score. $2.57 for these. How many have you lost or could’ve used somewhere else? |

The majority of my guitars are fairly subdued... natural wood grain, muted earth tones, simple bursts, etc. But I've wanted a Telecaster for many years and after a whole lot of playing, researching, etc... I discovered that what I wanted this particular guitar to be, was timeless yet over-the-top. In the past several months I've looked at hundreds upon hundreds of Tele's including traditional, modern, clones, and just about every variation that exists. Specs always come first which narrowed the field down to less than 10 and after meticulously picking those apart I was down to 4. From those four, there was simply one that I continued to absolutely adore in every regard... except that it was well over my budget by about 4x. Lucky for me that I have a very supportive wife! So here she is... 1 of 16 made... my Reverend Eastsider PA Telecaster! |

I picked up a Garmin footpod, a swing away VESA mount, and all the cabling to mount a TV near my treadmill. Time to get off my ass and back to my routine. Gonna start Zwift run training in the morning now that they added running to the mix. It'll literally be starting over for me, and it's gonna suck at first. Hoping the video gamey aspect of Zwift will make the suck a bit less brutal Last edited by hpiguy; 02-17-2019 at 05:11 PM. |

Every year during Tour de France they have 2 celebs in the studio competing on the alp d'huez climb on a cycling simulator, the 14 or so KM are a real pain it seem Only one i can race up that sucker are a turtle, and it will probably win and i will probably have a heart attack. |

Yeah, Zwift made their fame with cycling, so that's likely what they're using. They only recently added running to the mix. Cycling climbs are ranked CAT1 (hardest) to CAT4 (easiest) and anything harder than a CAT1 is a HC. Hors catégorie (HC) is a French term used in stage bicycle races to designate a climb that is "beyond categorization". We have some CAT1 stuff here in the mountains of western NC, not sure about any HC stuff, at least on the road. CAT1 climbs are a lung buster for sure. I've done two of our big climbs, have another one to conquer this year that's around 10 miles of nothing but climbing.
