I have 3 decent sized vines with a base the size of a grown man’s wrist. Plus all the dozens of vines that took over the last few years in the woods from when I’d toss the rotten ones. I’m shooting for at least 3-5 gallon bucket batches. Then rack it to some 5 gallon water jugs. Then rack it again to smaller bottles for dispensing. |

As some of you may or may not have noticed I dropped off of this site. I lost 100% interest in RCs almost over night. I still have all of my RC stuff, but I haven't touched it in months. I'm hoping the RC flame is reignited come fall when it's perfect weather for building and trailing. Since then I've been riding and modifying my Honda Grom. Typically I leave all of my vehicles mostly stock, but the Grom keeps getting mods. Dinger Built intake. It looks so awesome! Yoshimura ST-1M cam. This thing is tiny! LOL Dynojet WBCX module to go along with my Power Vision 3. Yoshimura head pipe with O2 bung for the wideband O2 sensor in the WBCX kit, Yoshimura spools, Yoshimura decals, and an Outerwears filter cover for the K&N filter on the Dinger Built intake. Some more tools - long, metric Allen hex bits (first time I'm trying the Tekton brand of tools) and an O2 sensor socket. And lastly, some TCX riding shoes. |

I DID notice, Jato...but I totally understand. Keep us posted with some pics of the modded Grom, dude! If I win the lotto I'll rebuild my hole-in-the-tank SV650 and meet ya on the road somewhere... I am only building an Enduro because I had to get these sweet new tires... and I am gonna have a super-hard time getting out and driving it because it's like 102 degrees here now. I haven’t ran more than 1 hours worth of RC time since spring. Too busy, too damned hot, and ‘my room’ has gotten trashed after putting away Christmas deco. Been looking at some thumpers lately. Any suggestions for a cost effective(cheap) supermotard style for running maybe 40-50 miles every couple of weeks? Japanese, European, or Merican? Used is fine with me since I have mediocre mechanical skills and some tools. Latest buy. Overly excited for this. |

Suzuki DRZ-400SM for sure! It's now ancient tech, but it's as reliable and bullet proof as they come. It's not high strung and maintenance intensive like the new flock of 450 supermotos. The DRZs are also still being sold new so parts are everywhere. The aftermarket is huge as well. Just beware of one that has been stunted as they are a favorite in that crowd. Ren & Stimpy...holy crap that takes me back!

Will do. The DRZs are few and far in between on CL and other places. I’ll keep an eye out for sure. Was leaning towards a KTM but after reading the maintenance I’ve backed away. I was just talking with a coworker about watching R&S stoned as well as Liquid Television. Good times. LOL.

Tim, I did that same thing a few years ago. 20+ years of RC, thought I'd never ever quit, then one day I just didn't have the love for it anymore. So I've been giving away and fire selling stuff ever since. The DRZ is a fantastic bike!! I loved mine to bits. Bought it new, put over 23,000 HARD miles on it running with bigger more exotic sumos, and the only issue I ever had was a broken clutch cable due to a crappy aftermarket clutch perch. Change the oil when the shifter and color tell you too, not by the manual, and they'll last 50,000 miles or more no problem. |

KTMs are high performance, but with that performance comes issues - high maintenance, some questionable reliability, etc. KTM folks will never tell you about the bad. They are the most feverish fanbois I've seen. Quote:
