Who's to say that the envelope ever got to them? If they had seen it and not deposited or lost it then yes that would be reasonable.
I'm not out to get something for free, that was the opposite of what I was trying to do which was to support a valuable resource of information.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. Only if that check cleared would I be… concerned or angry. Keep an eye on your bank account a little. Otherwise, find an outside picture host. This is pathetic customer service, or what have you.

You could send a member you trust $20 and give them your password and they could sign you up via PayPal, even.

I guess I have done all that I can for the moment,

I will advise my bank of the situation just so there is a record of the lost check so if something weird happens maybe I will have some recourse.

I guess that I will continue to post and reply as normal and maybe take the time to figure out how to use Dropbox or the like to post pictures.

I would still like to hear from one of the admins with any info that they can provide ....but for now

Ted out "mic drop"

The mods share your frustration. We have things we'd like to get some input on from at least jason, but nada. Take away the few mods and it's a free for all here. And it's ****ing sad.

Shouldn't it be, cancel the check and send a picture of the $25 cancellation charge and tell them they owe you a star and $5?

Tell them you prefer payment by check since you don't do PayPal

Dear RCC owner(s). IF my check is ever found please tear it up and consider yourselves out of a measly $20. I figured out how to post my pics for free. ( I really DID want to contribute to your fine website.)

That's bs man. I understand people are busy but don't put that checks are accepted if no one plans to ever take care of it.

I don't know why that was hard to understand...

It's pretty crappy the way things went for you.

If they (rccrawler) are going to advertise they accept checks, someone should be on top of it. I know we all are busy but "accepting checks" as form of payment shouldn't be advertised if someone has to go threw the trouble you did

Ahhhh, I get it now. You were referring to the accepted payment procedures. I didn't get it because I wasn't in your frame of reference.
I agree with you, don't say it and then not follow thru.

Not to be a bother, but just following up.....I sent a check in about a week ago myself to get a star and have not heard back. Would love to use the classifieds section soon. I know checks are old school, but hey, it was an option given so I chose to use it. Thanks RCCrawler for all you do!

So you are the guys holding up the checkout lines writing checks...

Cash? A check? Only when I'm required.

Not a fan of checks, postal money orders only if debit/credit/paypal are not accepted.

Cash is king, never had a system go down and the establishment not be able to accept cash. Happened many, many times with debit though. Learned years ago to carry as much cash as I plan on spending so if/when the system takes a crap or the card reader is bojacked I'm not assed out unable to buy things.

I agree that credit and debit are the way to go with PayPal being for everything online. I have never used PayPal in person.

In the 40 years I've been on this planet I can only remember one time when I tried to get cash out and the ATM wasn't working. The concern is way down on my radar. Should we ever get seriously hacked by an evil entity we are all screwed though.

Yeah except for the time I went to buy a motorcycle and the one dealer said "cash is meaningless to us", so I guess my business there was also meaningless.

Also, I'm just wondering now, but who fixed the Google search function that's been broken since a few months ago?

Sounds like a dealer I'd never want to deal with. Cash is useless? WTF?!

The homepage was "fixed" as well, but it's still useless.
