Default tennesse stolen yeti HELP

my dad and i came up to tennessee for a srrs event at windrock offroad park and had the best time ive ever had at an offroad event. left at 6:30 to get there and check in early (we were media) had a blast watching the sxs races and srrs races all day long. drive the yeti everywhere with me and had a blast. got some amazing videos and pictures for busted knuckles and image offroad. we packed it up and stopped by an rc track for a few mins then headed home to the hotel. the yeti was dirty and we didnt want to put it inside my dads truck so we put it in the bed. we walked to buffalo wild wings for dinner and came back and passed out. next thing i know its 11 and my dads waking me up telling my yeti, the truck weve put everything we had into, is gone. he went to smoke a cig and saw stuff out on the ground beneath his truck so he checked and it was just gone. ive had hours into that truck working on it and building it and driving it. it was fully build with a castle 8th scake system in it. ill post pictures in the next post. it just makes me sick someone could do that. anyone in windrock area (knoxville is where our hotel is) please keep an eye out. please

Lots of people are thieving dirt bags. You just got a free life lesson and some dirt bag just got a free yeti.

I don't like giving my stuff away so when I'm out with it you don't see it under the bed cover. Before the cover I wouldn't stop anywhere.

pressure the cops to lean on the hotel for video footage.
I have vandals and thieves. They should have a 50lb gym weight smashed on their hands and left that way.

So on to the obvious...you did call the cops right? I'm not a police officer but I would think the hotel would have to comply with a police investigation.

And not to keep rubbing salt in an open wound, but seriously that was not a smart idea. We used to move 2 dirty mountain bikes from the bed of my 2wd Toyota pickup to the cab, even if the vehicle was parked in sight while we ate. Your new motto is: "TRUST NOBODY"!!

long term airport parking, parking garages, hotel parking lots, amusement park parking lots, malls, etc are all very target rich enviroments for shifty mfr's.

id be willing to bet the people who stole the yeti were in the parking lot and watched them walk to the bww.

take some big 30gallon lawn bags with you and put it in that. a dirty trashbag looks alot less desireable than a dirty yeti, and it also keeps your 1:1 clean.

trash bag would prevent lookin in the window and smash and grabs.

ive also learned the hard way. 10 or so years ago, the 4th day after i bought a car i wanted for years i drove it to work (parking garage) and foolishly left my cds on the seat. somebody smashed out the window. heartbreaking.

they didnt even get the cds. the windows were tinted and didnt shatter. the pass window broke in one piece and fell inward on top of the stuff they were trying to steal. which was kinda ironic, but it scratched the hell out of the interior when it fell.
