Default Is An MMX And HH Puller Pro Good For A RR10 Bomber?

I have a question about the Tekin ROC 412 motor. When I think of it, I think of a slow rock crawler motor. Is it slow? In my thread for my plans for the RR10 Bomber kit I will be getting soon, someone suggested the ROC 412 to be paired with the ESC I want- the Mamba Monster X. I plan on running a 2-Speed transmission. I want to be able to do some crawling, but I also want speed. Thank you.

Depends on which one you get. They range from 1200 to 3100 Kv. 3100Kv will give you plenty of power.

Depending on the kv you buy will depend on speed. My 3100kv is fast and has crawler ability

Tower has Castle on sale right now, combined with a coupon you can save quite a bit.
I'm partial to Tekin equipment Tower has the 3100 kv for 149.99 with a coupon its $18 off and free shipping.

The Mamba Monster X WP ESC/2200kV 239.99 with coupon $23 off and free shipping

Ok thank you. I will probably get the 3100Kv if I don't get a Castle motor

Cool, I think I'll buy the Mamba Monster X separate and then the Tekin motor. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. I can't see spending that much on a darn motor! Oh well. I guess I'll have to.

Hmm. I haven't considered it. But now I am. I like that 4500Kv option. Thank you.

All posted is not wrong but NOTHING compares to a roc 412 3100kv or a HH 3300kv puller! No matter what don't get a castle motor it is not sensored or is it "crawler worthy". I really dont know why people go with mmx besides the aux(on the fly)option its way too much esc. The perfect combo imo is MMP/HH BLE with roc 412 3100/HH puller 3300(standard can)...I have ran both for some time along with multiple others & trust me no comparison Oh yeah HH offers wp on all electronics too!

Almost forgot 2speed is not necessary & is another thing that could go wrong. With either motors its not needed

Thank you. But, will the MMP/HH puller offer me some speed as well as good crawling with the 2 speed?

With the MMX being like $15 more than a MMP, I dont know why anyone WOULDNT get it .. Its really a great ESC, being so overkill, allows you to run it fanless as well.

Its only like $135 now, IIRC it used to be $170 ..

Yeah. Plus, when I get my Slash 4x4 oba tsm somewhere down the line (the rr10 bomber is first priority now), then I can put the mamba monster x in with a nice Castle motor, and do a different setup with this

Well, I see many people with mixed opinions on the 2 speed, but the people that do have it only have good things to say about it. So, I am probably going to get it. I plan on getting the RC4WD one, so it's got all metal internals, and a nice aluminum case, and nice stuff like that, and all I have to do is add a servo. That's
$130.00:http://store.rc4wd.com/AX2-2-Speed-T...ho_p_2463.html

This is the servo I plan on running: http://www.rcmart.com/kasemoto-bg092...e-p-67625.html
1 for steering, and one for shifting the transmission.
Nice bang for the buck, brushless, metal gears, aluminum case. And lots of torque. I'll hook it up to a nice aluminum horn.

Yes! The whole 2 speed thing is preference i agree but totally not needed & thats a fact! With a servo & linkage added to the mix thats just more that can go wrong is all im sayin! 56/12 32p gearing gives you both low & top end with either esc or motor i listed...

It may ba anything thing to break, but it is only a servo. And it probably will last me for a while.

Yeah it's a pretty cool thing to have. Make sure you look for my build thread coming in a few months!

Yup a good motor is all that's needed. 2 speeds are neat to play with but unnecessary. Not that it matters this rig will never get built.

I've thought about trying an mmx. Most people that have them on here will never utilize it's full potential and yes, an mmp would be perfectly sufficient and much easier to fit in a chassis.

Yeah. It's kinda like when someone buys a car with all these track capabilities but the car never goes on the track. Or when someone buys an off road truck and the truck never sees dirt.

The MMX footprint isnt much bigger than the MMP, and its also shorter if you remove the fan ( which you can being so overkill )..

Also its waterproof out of the box.. The only real downside is the seperate sensor harness from Castle , another $7.

Also the weight is almost exactly the same , again once fan removed from the MMX.. Fan in place on MMP..

You are correct however, most people wont use its full potential, I mean this ESC had my Yeti XL standing on its ass on 6S brother.. Its a absolute beast.. Now it powers my Top Truck.. 4S for sled pulling, Mud pit, and hill climb, Something I would worry to do with my 9lb truck , on a mmp. I've seen mmp cook with the heavier trucks..
I realize I'm not the average driver however, and am not the most people you were referring to.

Neither am I. I think an mmx would power the 2350 4 pole sensored 1/8 scale motor in my bouncer better than the current turnigy 150A. It's fun on 4s, rated for 5s but I bet it'd live on 6s.
