For sale... but no pics???

Am I the only one that gets a little annoyed that people put up for sale threads and do not add pics? I for one usually skip the post unless something really catches my attention. I dont want to text you for pics and possibly have you keep texting me back.. Just post some pics lol

I post pictures all from my phone as well.

Step 1: Take picture.

Step 2: Upload to Photobucket (there is a Photobucket App as well as a desktop version)

Step 3: Copy IMG code.

Step 4: Post your picture.

I usually hit the back button in less than one second if I don't see a picture.

The other thing is if the pictures are over the max size, the pictures get deleted by a mod, however, the post still goes through.

Exactly the way I do it. It just takes a few moments to do and I can upload high resolution pics and link them so Thx_138 doesn't delete them and I can show more detail so buyers know what they're getting.

family and hobbies first. media entertainment last.

we don't watch tv, have no wifi, and rarely watch movies.

I had my fair share of smartphones. after getting out of the army I figured I had no use for a damn smartphone. im either at work or outside.

but ill buy a smartphone just for you guys so you can see what gold I have for sale..

You could buy a new tablet for $200 and do all of these things with ease. A used tablet, or older PC, could cost even less. I use an 8 year old work station running windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. My 3D design software prefers this OS. My point- brand new isn't necessary, careful shopping for used stuff can get you up and running.

I think most now get deleted by the mod for incorrect sizing, it didn't used to be this way and you saw pics all the time. Social media is becoming the place to sell lately, maybe the mods can relax a bit to get more people back to this site.

That's not a terrible idea at all. I don't see a reason to limit sizing on remotely hosted pics. I think there is already a limit on pic size being uploaded to rcc so that's a moot point.

Theres mods/add ons for vBulletin that automatically resize images ...... even easier

Only grief I have about pictures is when they don't hit enter after each one and I have to scroll sideways. Who scrolls sideways

"I'll txt you pics" is easily the laziest thing I've ever seen in a Classified ad. You want to generate interest and a simple photo is probably the easiest way to do it.

I'm ok with texting for pics as long as the number is their moms cell phone.

800 X 600 is pretty small these days. Yes it's easy to post pics, but if people are using social media to sell on instead of here, maybe the time has come to be more accommodating to get people to want to post here.

some of us might work from 7am to 8pm. 3-4 days a week.



and not posting pics.. well it has kept the lowballers out of my pm box.
