Day 15, made it into Michigan this evening, Bear Cave camp ground in Buchanan. Today was our first Stake and Shake restaurant, first time ever to pay $55 for one night of camping and saw our first red squirrel. Tomorrow on to Commerce Township to spend the evening with joe122.

Finished, more tomorrow guys.

Very nice, love the animal art. Red squirrels, you're in the territory.

Thanks for the info Nate!
Going to joe122s house in a few minutes, and it looks like we are going to need a boat to get there. Honest Scott, we did not bring this rain with us from Oregon!!!

I think the rain may follow you out of the state! Hopefully not, should clear up tomorrow. What a cool visit by Ernie and his wife. So nice to put a face to the build(s)! It was great talking RC's and such. Hope the rest of your journey is one to remember!

Marcia was reading that our trip through Canada is taking us into some flood prone area, so we will see. I'll keep my eyes opened for log to hollow out for a canoe.
Was great meeting you guys as well, and you do some great work my friend!!!

Day 17 of a great trip so far. As read above, we spent a while yesterday evening at joe122s (Scott) and his lovely wife (Shelly) house in Michigan. I had the chance to see a true artist's workshop, and works of art. I know you have all seen these before, but not from my eye!!

Going for a walk, more later.

Michigan was a great state to drive through. We saw so many well kept farms. Our goal is to see America, so we are trying to stay off of the freeways, and drive as many interstate highways and side roads as we can. This gives us a chance to see what the real United States looks like. The old houses we saw were stately two story houses decked in white trim. They were gorgeous.
Made it to Niagara, New York this evening by way of Ontario, Canada. As we were checking in at the KOA, we heard about a 4 hour guided tour of the Falls which includes a boat ride. What the heck, this is one of the great wonders of the world, we're going to take time to stop and "smell the roses"!l Or possibly get wet!
We are getting closer Ben and Calvin!!!!

Later gang!
Ernie and Marcia

Well, they are well deserved, hope you win!

Ok Day 18!!
Spent almost the whole day at Niagara Falls on a guided tour, and it was very very cool, as in wet and cold!! But we had a great time. I'm really tired so I will let the photos do the talking!

Headed toward New Hampshire from here! Everyone have a great weekend

Ok gang, Day 22, and we are half done (maybe)???
I last left you in Niagara Falls, have since driven through New York, Vermont, and into New Hampshire. We spent several days there visiting a dear friend and her family. It was very nice to spend time with our adopted daughter her three children and husband. This visit was one of the main reason for the trip!!
We were going to make our way up Maine to visit Crawler friends, but Hurricane Mathew changed our mind in a big hurry. It was a part of the trip that I really wanted to make, but didn't feel it was worth the risk. (Sorry guys).
Now for some boring photos! A trip to New England in the fall wouldn't be complete without taking some fall color pics.
Took all of these in Vermont on route 22.

Also been looking for reference material for doing a New England series of wood burning.

Found these in the New York farm lands.

Tomorrow we will end our day with family in Souderton, Pennsylvania. Thanks for looking!
Marcia and Ernie

I'm originally from Cape Cod, but I have come to embrace the beauty of my current home state. I still miss the ocean, though.

We are staying on the other side of Winnipesaukee, in Wolfeboro.
