Very nice photo skinnyj, hope you guys had as much fun in that area as we did.
To bad the fall colors aren't quite here yet, maybe next time. Oh, and did you see us wave when we past? We were the ones in the motorhome!
Ernie

Ok, time for a update, It is getting to the point that I can't remember what day we are on! We will start with day 26. Spent the last few day in the Lancaster area, what beautiful dairy and farm land. And also well known for its Amish and Mennonite population. So we will start with a few shots of the area.

And look what I found, best in the land are found right here!!! WHOOPIE PIES!!!!!!!

I wanted to sample them all.

Also some more composition for a farm land series wood burning!

See the tobacco drying in the barn?

Marcia

A beautiful riding stable and horse ranch.

And this afternoon we pulled into the KOA in Gettysburg. Going to tour the Battlegrounds tomorrow, and OHHHHH look what Ernie found when we pulled into our camp site, Some great crawling rocks!

I'm sure I will have some photos for you guys tomorrow!

I could get a couple extra and put them in my tool box for you. You'd have to come to Oakridge to get them!

Your in Lancaster, you GOT to swing by Baltimore, See Ft McHenery and Federal Hill ( Only in the day time...) and eat a few steamed crabs! Don't forget to take home a can of Old Bay seasoning with you.

Is that an East Coast only thing? I know the stores sell it up here in NH.

I use that when I make seafood chowders. I put it in after the vegetables are cooked down and it makes the whole house smell good!

Thanks for the offer.

If you do want to bring some home they freeze & thaw pretty good.
My last trip home I brought 2 dozen back with me so I could hand em' around. They lasted maybe a week.

I have succumb to the reality living on the west coast if I want em' I have to make them.

They take a bit of time and always go fast but they are worth it. The biggest PIA is finding maple sugar for my maple ones.

Scored this book off CL, now we just pick a frosting and cake combo & make em.

Of course I still search & tweak recipes trying to recreate the maple recipe from https://www.wickedwhoopies.com/produ...wicked-whoopie

$30 a dozen plus shipping to Oregon is too painful on the wallet.

Ernie

OK, yesterday was Day 28 and we did a guided bus tour of the Battlefield so here is a few pics from "Little Round Top"

I think this group of rocks below is call Devils Den.

A couple canons that will make it to my East Coast wood burning series.

And you haven't seen this for a while!

All for now, I may have some crawling pics tomorrow. Thanks for following along!
Ernie

If you are still in the East, any grocery store should have Old Bay. Look in the spice section or at the seafood counter.

^ This. And to SkinnyJ- Not too sure about an east coast thing, but it's definitely a Baltimore thing. It was never widely distributed until McCormick spice company purchased the parent company in 1990.

Erinie,

If you are still in my driveway you can go in the kitchen in the cabinet left of the stove and there is a can of old bay in there. Take it. I'll get more when we go to the store. Had a good time visiting. You and Marcia are welcome any time.

No, I was busy with Codyboy Design parts before we left and are now 30 days into our trip, and what a great one it has been. Maybe we can get together before the weather really turns nasty.

Thanks for everything Cary, You really have a great family, enjoyed our visit so much. Glad you and Rhett had a chance to run the K10, hope it helped peak your guys interest again. Tell Rhett I'm only down the road a few miles if he needs help, or parts for his truck!
Marcia and I feel we have extended family in Maryland now!

Ok, Day 29 & 30 (I think).

Look what SHOme gave me to take back to Oregon!

But, I need to back up a couple Days.
Spent two great days in Gettysburg and headed out for Union Bridge, Maryland. So one of our expensive hobbies is Golf, and came across this great links course outside of Gettysburg, time to buy a new cap!!!!!

Another barn for the series

Made it to the SHOme clans home, and what a grand place it is. Seven beautiful acres up on a little knoll from which you can see forever. See our tiny house tucked in there.

So we left Cary's yesterday morning on our way to Grafton West VA and came across this great view. If National Geographic thinks it's great, I'm stopping!

And my favorite photo of the day!

This morning we left Tygart Lake State Park in Grafton and stopped this evening in Ashland Kentucky. Sorry, no pics from todays trip.

Thanks for following along!
Marcia and Ernie
