Pics from today... my first selfie of the trip, a native made hummingbird bracelet I bought today (represents Quetzalcoatl for me), and a bunch of pics of my truck in the mountains. |

Tuesday night my friend and I went to dinner at an art gallery/restaurant that showcases local Albuquerque artist. It was Taco Tuesday... pretty good and the wings were awesome! |

Wednesday was a good day. I decided to just spend the day relaxing. I made a little icon (local Native art and an Amazonite bead) for my truck and finally named her (the hummingbird came to me in a... dream before my trip): Pequeño Colibrí The hummingbird spirit animal symbolizes the enjoyment of life and lightness of being, independence, and being more present. Those who have the hummingbird as a totem are invited to enjoy the sweetness of life, lift up negativity wherever it creeps in and express love more fully in their daily endeavors. This fascinating bird is capable of the most amazing feats despite its small size, such as traveling great distances or being able to fly backwards. By affinity with the hummingbird, those who have this bird as totem may be encouraged to develop their adaptability and resiliency while keeping a playful and optimistic outlook. Amazonite: Called the Stone of Courage and the Stone of Truth, Amazonite empowers one to search the self and discover one’s own truths and integrity, and to move beyond fear of judgment or confrontation with others to live in alignment with those beliefs and values. It provides the freedom to express one’s thoughts and feelings, and to set strong and clear boundaries, both internally as self-discipline, and externally on what one is willing to experience or in defining personal space Then I tried some smoked bbq. I found the type of place I would love to live... a little unpaved road on the side of a mountain with the houses nestled in the trees. I relaxed in the Chicago flag hammock that my girlfriend got me for the trip. And finally, I ended up taking a unpaved dirt/rock road down the backside of the mountain. It was fun, exciting and a bit nerve racking at times! I really only worried that it would rattle something loose on my 30 year old Toyota. It took over an hour and was dark as I reached the bottom! Today's playground was silly close to the canyon edge in some places... so close, that there were a few trucks down there! I wanna take my 4Runner out there tomorrow but probably shouldn't... would hate to bust an axle or something right before I'm scheduled to leave for AZ. |

Thanks for sharing your epic road trip, looks like you are enjoying everywhere you stop. If your destination in CA is Sunnyvale, hit me up when you get here, I'm in Santa Clara. Safe travels. |

Johnny, post number 65, first pic. I see something familiar on the dashboard. How do you load and unload your bike on the truck alone? |

I'll be in touch, gotta find the new crawl spots! Quote:
My close friends (yoga masters) gave me Ganesh to remove obstacles... which I am grateful for. The bike weighs too much to load on my own... but, I am thinking that if I end up (like I want) living in a place I can use a dirtbike more often, I'll buy a smaller bike. Perhaps a Honda XR 250 or the bike I have been thinking about, the XR 400. | ||

hey now, easy with the labels... I remain unaffiliated with political parties and religions. Sure, I may share some of the values but I consider myself more of a individual than that. |
