Brands can be broken. It takes time, excellent product, service and price. No brand is safe until competetion is completely eliminated and kept like that. |

First scaler kit, second rtr, third only has axial skid and driveshafts, four and five have no axial parts going in them. It isnt even that I had issues with Axial, its just that most things on the first two ended up being replaced with aftermarket parts. What is the point of buying axial products without the coupon. More people are loyal to their wallets then a brand now a days, axial isn't even a status symbol. There isnt a whole lot of reason to buy from them. All that being said axial has just failed to engage me as a customer.

Axial is popular because they were first. Getting to the market first is so extremely important. We have an impatient society and we will buy what is available rather than wait for something even if the future release is a better product from a better brand. But at the time of Axial's first release, there really wasn't any competition. That makes it easier to capture the market. To this day, Axial makes products that don't have much competition. Other RC brands are more focused on bashing. With that being said, Axial does now have more competition than ever and they're getting more every day. Don't think for a second they are safe if they stay complacent. It's delusional to think that Axial can't or won't fail. There are lots of companies that thought they wouldn't fail and they have. People, and therefore the markets, are forever changing. If Axial fails we still have other crawling brands - CrossRC, RC4WD, MST, Vaterra, etc.

Exactly. That's what I was saying, there are always options, whether you are the buyer or the seller.. these days, nobody gives a shit about brand loyalty they care about the new cool things whatever they are. If axial/hobbico play games with the vendors then the retailer will in turn show customers other new options. This WILL cause a company to fail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yep history is littered with companies\brands that at the time where unbeatable......got complacent and treated the consumer like mugs and got taken down, Nokia springs to mind.....Apple seam hell bent on doing the same thing The aftermarket support is why people still buy Axial, BUT if Axial folded tomorrow the aftermarket would start making things for other cars |

so what im reading is that if axial falls you think aftermarket will make part for a different brand? you can build an axial rig without buying anything axial. duh.. they will never fold.

One of the manufacturing plants over in China closed down and Axial happened to be one of those companies so some of the parts are hard to get right now. Also, if he isn't a G.P. dealer he can have some issues as that's the main and I think only company who distributes the parts. Losi is Horizon Hobby. Great Planes doesn't carry most horizon stuff. So Losi, ECX, and Vaterra are all going to be through horizon only.

| Re: Is Axial Racing is going bankrupt? Bingo. The fawking duratrax cliff climber and turd tlt were out long before axial existed. They borrowed a few bits from a few different manufacturers and listened to their target audiance. It paid off for sure.

| Is Axial Racing is going bankrupt?
I don't work for axial, and am just speculating, but after going corporate and giving up manufacturing and control to a corporation that is now in public trouble, ( maybe they have been before, but news stories that they can't pay employees aren't good..) I think they have headaches ahead. The bs with hobbico and their association with them is fueling this.. I have been in this thread for a few pages now and I've seen lots of opinion, but they are mostly about anything but axial' business side.. Isn't there any axial guys watching this thread that could give some clarification? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

| Re: Is Axial Racing is going bankrupt? Tamiya had the Bruiser, Mountaineer, HiLux, and Blazing Blazer in the 80's and the HiLift was released before Axial released the AX10 scorpion (much less the SCX10 which came several years after). Kyosho had it's 4runner, and Robbe produced kits for trials running before RCC was around.
