| Is it a big deal??
Is it a big deal , to some maybe , buying from over seas like asiatees, rcmart ... Some say, only buy American made... I've bought from rcmart before ,bought the tranny metal gears, the output , well that metal snapped in half on a bind, I'm guessing, shot them a email , user error...so screw them...lol...that's when I bought RR gears....just no hole in the output shaft(hope I said that right) but I'm fine with that....... Maybe political reasons .....but I'm crawling and like atees stuff .... Where do you stand on purchasing? I guess for some customer service should be number one..... Hope I explained myself right ... Suck at writing....lol... |

Just depends on what it is. Some stuff is obviously junk. Others, you can only get it overseas. When I buy the hard to find parts from overseas, I'll buy 2 to 3 at once because I know it will break and I don't want to wait 3-4 weeks for another one. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

I buy from all over - RPP, Asiatees, RCMart, Tower Hobbies. Have no qualms about buying from overseas if that's where I can find it. Many US stores don't stock the parts I want, so I have to go overseas.

American made is only equal to a few small time rc companies, to include vanquish (not small time) if you want American made, don't buy box stock kits or rtr's. nothing political about it. just most companies outsource. TLR might be brought back state side and same with AE. other companies I cannot speak for. but most plastics are molded overseas. only big name non American made kits I buy are TLR and Tamiya. or used stuff. |

I've noticed that most metal aftermarket parts are easily found from "Made in America"" companies. I have Vanquish, AMF, CarterFab, DMG, Robinson Racing and GearHeadRC parts strewn about my living room table for my Bomber build. Other than a USA-made 3D printed stinger, practically every plastic part is made overseas. That's just the way of the world at this time... |

I have an order that I try and follow if I want something. 1. Buy American made 2. Buy foreign made from an American retailer 3. Buy from an overseas retailer |
