Somehow, I don't think that me saying that would have been any help, before, or after.

And she blamed me for it. When I couldn't even see what she was doing. And it wasn't my job to keep her from smashing the shit out of her fingers.

I've got one of those stories too. Once upon at time ago, I was a green horn in the oilfield industry, and one fine day while we were working on a dual new drill, and a recomplete, this girl that was on our crew (she was a welders helper) got her finger mangles in one of the tracks the the welder's rollout welding skid, I'm pretty sure that I seen one of her fingers dangling by a thread of meat, anyway to fix her fingers the surgeon had to sow her fingers together. She had to keep them like that for months, we end up giving her the nick name "the penguin" she hated it. |

Use some of that $640 to buy a radiator pressure tester. I know my Matco set wasn't cheap, but I bet they're out there under $100. Out of all the "specialty" tools I have, that one sees a lot of action. Edit: $56. https://www.google.com/shopping/prod...AsQQ8wIIqgMwDg |

I think I can rent or borrow a pressure tester, I have never used one If the guy at the radiator shop puts the O-rings and seats the tubes correctly for me, I will run the truck before I re-assemble the dash board cause it didn't leak until it came up to pressure, I guess I should of let idle a little longer and watched the top of the core to see if was leaking or steam coming from the seal Instead of driving it around the block and could smell it before it started pissing, I think its the right side tube, which is return or cooled off water coming out of the core I have never replaced a heater core before, I did replace a radiator once or twice, but never used a pressure tester, cause the replacement radiator was pressure tested before I bought it Last edited by kgb424; 04-10-2017 at 02:29 PM. |

Cause my credit is only fair to the lower part of good, and do not have the required cash flow To get financing or a decent car loan, I live in the Valley below Lake Tahoe and do get a fair amount Of snow and ice in the winter and you need a four wheel drive or all wheel drive or even front wheel drive My old Toyota Camry did pretty good in the snow with spiked winter tires but would get high sided every once in awhile So I'm stuck with what vehicles I own now, cause even if I sell one or both of them, I still would not be able to buy something new or even a vehicle that is 10 years old, would be more electronics and even harder too work on and more expensive for shop repairs I can work on the 87 Toyota and the 95 GMC, big repairs or electronic diagnostics, I take too the shop If I can afford it and lately, I have been financially struggling too cover my ass but my bills are paid on time Some time its steak and potatoes for dinner but most of time its hamburger and some thing made in the crock pot Last edited by kgb424; 04-11-2017 at 11:17 PM. |

I can't quite figure it out yet, but didn't want to forget the thought, cause I would, but it's something about typewriters... FWD cars and snow tires are really fun. |
