You don't need me for that.

I usually try to stay out of your threads...they give me bad dreams and make me poop a lot...but this one is just another example of how confrontational you are. Not just here on RCC, but in person too. It's almost like you wear it as a badge of honor or something.

The hose popping off after doing all that work wasn't Karma. It was all of us collectively thinking to ourselves, "Just let this shit end already"!

Karma's a bitch, but you pick at it like an old scab and then you're shocked with the results...you make your own circumstances.

You can close your eyes and pretend it's all a bad dream

That's how I get by almost everyday of my life,

My Mom passed in 2006, it ****ed me up, cause she always had my back, and my Dad started having health problems and when he passed in 2012, it really ****ed me up and I've been lost ever since

And its the same shit year after year, I got a good women that loves me, and keeps me grounded, other wise I'd be in a even darker place, then I am now and ****ing out there man and ****ing loving it

I promised my girl, I would take it down a notch but never said for how long

Nope not going there, but will share a side project my 1983 Tamiya Brat

I made brackets to center the steering servo and lengthened the connecting rods

Still need to power up the servo to center it and see how the wheels turn cause there is a lot of play in the steering

But that's the way the vintage RC's were, that's part of the fun when running one

I took the Toyota dash board apart enough to see the top of the heater core, where the O-rings and tubes connect and started the truck and let it idle and warm up

It took a couple minutes and I could see bubbling on the right connector and it pissed out antifreeze again, now I know its the seal were the O-rings seat

I called the local Radiator shop and going down there in the morning, they are going to replace the O-rings and seat the tubes and pressure test the core

I hope that fixes the leaks, and got a working heater and defroster

I took the core out, and took the clamp off of the tubes and found the one on the right side, the tube is unseated and the u shape retainer has came loose

I'm hoping with the right sized O-rings, the tubes will seat and retainer clips will stay in place and not leak the second time around

Thanks Chicken Wings, I can do good English when I want too

The radiator shop was able to replace the O-rings and seat the tubes and pressure test the core, and it doesn't leak, they didn't charge me, I will have bring them some beer as a thank you

Now just waiting until it warms up a little to work the Toyota, its cold and shitty and might rain, waiting on the weather again

I started putting the dashboard back together and got about 95% done, when I hooked up the hood release cable, and pulled it to test it out, and it wouldn't open the hood cause I thought the cable stretched

So I had to yank on it, the hood popped open, I took the hood latch out and found the plastic piece on the end of the cable was broke, and no longer releasing the hood latch

I ripped the barrel off the end of the cable when I yanked on it, but did get the hood open and the cable is easy to replace

It's on, I'm fixing my heater core, and do it this way, with some 3/4'' ID Silicon heater hose and some 1'' ID heater hose and some High Temp RTV and 4 1 1/2'' hose clamps

I have to due it this way, cause I can not find a copper heater core to solder the tubes and they do not make aluminum tubes too weld to the aluminum cores

I got the first part done and letting the RTV cure completely before I attach the clips and try to slide the bigger hose over

Alrighty then

The guy at the radiator shop helped me again to seat the tubes and assemble the pieces of hose and the clamps

It was pressure tested again and no leaks, and the tubes are solid this time, now they shouldn't move when I connect the inlet and outlet hoses

Going to connect the heater core and start the truck and let it idle until it warms up and see if it leaks before I start reassembling the dash board

For the third time, I hope this fixes it

So over a month without your vehicle, multiple trips to parts store, and multiple times taking dash apart.. all to save $640.

Not sure what your time is worth, but I would have paid the $640 to the guy that does it all the time and had my shit up and running a month ago, with less aggravation, and month to do other projects..
