Tastes fried. 99% of it is fries. Order a hotdog, they toss in in the basket for a bit. That section on the left is the kitchen... that's the entire place.

I think I'd rather a hot dog tastes like fries than a hot dog.

There's also the question, is a hot dog a sandwich?

I love the occasional hot dog if it's fried or grilled.

I think a hot dog is a sandwich. It's in an easy to eat, portable package like any other sandwich. Wiki states, "A sandwich is a food typically consisting of vegetables, sliced cheese or meat, placed on or between slices of bread, or more generally any dish wherein two or more pieces of bread serve as a container or wrapper for another food type." And hot dog rolls often split in two so definitely a sandwich!

I'm surprised. Every Cheeburger around here seems to flourish. You must have some good competition where you're at. Or you live in a place with lots of vegetarians. :lmao:

South Louisiana is probably the obese capital of the world. Wayyy too much good food to eat.

There's a local spot called Buds Broiler that does hot dog sammichs. Wife and kid love those things.

The way I like hot dogs is so messy I've been doing open faced dogs on plate eaten with a fork for years now. Chili, slaw with lots of black pepper, pickled jalapenos from my Grandpa's garden, mustard, and ketchup on a slice of wheat bread.

home fries, pinto beans, ground beef in sweet baby rays bbq sauce, and 2 slices of cheese under the split pan grilled dog on a bun. or just ketchup and mustard.

I'm not a fan of turkey. I'm even less of a fan of turkey farts.

Booby's in Niles, IL, tops their burgers/cheeseburgers with their house BBQ sauce and vinegar coleslaw, great tasting burger "thumbsup". Their skirt steak sandwich is good too, it's also smothered in the BBQ sauce.

Sonic makes a decent foot long Coney Dog, and their Slaw Dog isn't bad either.

Anybody hear of, or taste a Donut Burger?, Saw it on one of the Food Channel shows, but don't remember where it was from, maybe a carny food. They put a burger in between a sliced glazed donut.

I know, I keep asking myself why do I start these food related threads, they just make me hungry as heck.

That's a hotdiggity dog sandwich I could get down with.

LOL, same here. They were so good I went into a food coma for an hour in the recliner afterwards.

This thread has made me realize the only thing I miss about my home town is the food :lmao:

Belmont BBQ, other side of downtown from UVA. Rib sandwich will put you in a food coma. Short rack of ribs with the bones slid out with coleslaw on a bun. Another hole in the wall place with 3 or 4 seats inside. Good stuff.

I had hot dogs last night sans bread or roll. The un-sandwich. :lmao:
