Well, Thunder Tiger and Team Associated have had a great relationship... since 2005!

Thunder Tiger was formed in '79 and came to America with a takeover of Ace R/C in '97. So, they've been around the block.

My 2nd stadium truck R/C was a Team Associated RC10GT Nitro with a Thunder Tiger engine.

Let's actually clear the air, where are axial products manufactured?

And while you're at it, where are all the parts? Mystery and frustration is simply driving people to other brands.

Aaaaahhhhh. NOT China. But I know (maybe). Taiwan! Every Axial parts package I've ever bought has printed right on it "Made in Taiwan". Or is it just the label is made in Taiwan?

Don't tell Taiwan that. Best do your research. Taiwan is miles ahead of China in terms of quality of techical goods production.

Well, looks like the Axial rep got his post count to 12 then decided to disappear for another 5 years. This is the kind of crap that's infuriating. How hard would it have been for Axial to put out a press release or even a blog entry on their site. "hey, sorry we're sold out of EVERYTHING! Changing factories (or whatever the current excuse is) We expect stock back on this date." But instead no. All the information is being delivered 2nd hand via forums like this one.

Question is which one of us will be the first one drug out of our local hobby shop bloodied because they oversold the next shipment?

Uh huh...nice cover.

This kinda relates to another thread I started asking why there is no competition to the bomber and wraith. Traditionally, if a company is creating a product with high demand, but drops the ball in some way, another competitor will come along with a competing product. The only response I really got to my question was that the wraith is just a silly toy that nobody really likes. This is obviously horse sh!t as the wraith is SO popular that you can buy almost any after-market part imaginable for it. You can literally scratch-build a brand-new one off of ebay. Dismissing the wraith would be like dismissing the Jeep Wrangler as some stupid niche vehicle that nobody is really interested in.

That said, it seems to me that axial builds great products at a reasonable price. I hope they continue. Some healthy competition to more of their products would be a good thing for the consumer. Rather than bash the rep for not giving the desired answer, why not just buy something else? Unless you want a wraith/bomber-esque vehicle. In which case they kinda got you by the stones until someone comes out with a competing platform. This could be a great time for another manufacturer to jump into the market with their own wraith-ish truck. Just sayin'.

Thanks Mike, and everyone else. Appreciate the fact at least a few people know where Taiwan is.

China adjacent

Kinda like arguing that Kia is considerably better than Hyundai. It's still a Kia.
