56. Been building RC's since 1982. First was the Tamiya Toyota Hilux (still have) latest was the Axial Yeti XL built over Christmas.[emoji1]

All kidding aside, this hobby has kept me going giving me something to do while dealing with medical problems.


My idea of a perfect evening is watching the history channel while I have my crawlers on the coffee table. I can work/adjust/design while I listen to the TV. Yep...when you get old, you don't have a life.

You don't have to be old to be limited in your activities! I'm 33 and got back into RC's (I was big into nitro for several years before stepping away for ~7years) after medical issues got in the way of my more physically demanding past times, and life in general. I guess having RC's to tinker with has helped me keep at least a morsel of my sanity.

42. Getting back into it over the last 2 years. Was able to play with a Tamiya Sand Scorcher when i was 13. Saved up and bought a Tamiya Grasshopper Super G when i was 14, then a Boomerang later on.

Nope, I'm 68, and started racing back in 82. And I also love to tinker in my shop. That was why I started building the Codyboy axles."thumbsup"
And us old Oregonians need to stick together!!!!

42... Been into rc for 13 year's give or take... Started with traxxas, wanted one of those AXIAL ax10 trucks when they came out ,now took me a year putting the scx10 together, well scx10 axles with the various parts to build a scx10 truck....

Haven't seen much of you lately, I'm hoping that you and your family were able to get back to "normal" after the flood. ( I say "normal" because I have no idea if its possible to get back to the way things were before a natural disaster like that.)
