In my smallish town here in Cali a guy was confronted by gun-toting thugs in his house trying to rob him. He ran to another room, grabbed his gun and blew them both away.

I could not help but notice that the anti-gun people were nowhere to be seen/ heard on social media about this. Crickets. Chirp-chirp.

I have no clue why they deemed his tweets that way...maybe to get around his "spilling the beans" of sorts. We're definitely in uncharted waters with Twitter...and Trump in general. I think people put too much weight into his tweets...and of course that...title...they've been given don't help. It seems to me it's like a personal diary for him...except he's sharing his thoughts with everyone.

They are both fundies and on the political right. The person I was responding to claimed that liberalism leads to violence and it's just not accurate based on the self- identification of the vast majority of terrorists.

Also, when I say terrorist, I mean the white right wing terrorists who kill the most Americans as well as Islamic terrorists who we are told to fear.

The funny/sad part of the whole situation is that we have heard right wing politicians and pundits tell us for years about "second amendment solutions" when we don't get our way at the ballot box and here we are, a person who should not have had access to a firearm based on past behavior was able to express his false interpretation of the second amendment on a pro-gun congressman.

If the right wingers had any integrity, they would give this guy a medal for doing what they have been telling us to do.

I guess it's easy to read where you stand politically isn't it? I'm all over the map, most of what both spectrums have to say is pure idiocy to me anymore so I'd like to see most of them in front of a firing squad.

The left wing wants to take all the guns away and the right wing wants everyone to have a gun. I'll stand with the right wing on this one. When nobody is allowed to posses a legal firearm then only criminals will have them leaving the citizenry unable to defend themselves.

The person who shot Scalice was a person who had a history of violence and should not have had a gun.

The point is that extremists are activated by extreme rhetoric and the right has mainstreamed the fundies of their ilk.
