I read plenty, including when you tried to use emotion to discredit opposing views. Yet when it’s used to be critical of yours it’s just human nature.

this whole thing is a mess. now the commander in chief wants to send us to SPACE?!?! who is threatening freedom up there?! does ISIS have tactical nuke payloads on some satellites up there?? or maybe a fully armed and operational battle station?! don't get me wrong i love star wars, but that's just... WHY?!
A) Somebody found oil in space.

B) Trumps ego.

C) It's more profitable to stand alone as opposed to working with other nations. Gotta feed that MIC...

Yes, because Congress would surely pass things just to feed Trump's ego.

1) US agriculture is dependent on illegal immigrants that work hard on farms for less than set minimum wage. This helps US farmers become competetive on an international level.

2) Illegal immigrants start gangs and do all kinds of illegal activity damaging the delicate fabric of society.

Good and bad side of the coin.

Not unlike the Italians, Irish, Jews, Russians, Eastern Europeans, Chinese ect. in the late 1800s to early 1900s.

People act like this is new when it is history repeating itself.

Fun fact: during the "Great Wave of Immigration" from the late 1800s-1920, there were almost no restrictions on immigration. You showed up on our shores and got processed. That's it. There was no "right way". No visas. No green cards.

It might sound crazy now, but as soon as somebody finds something of value in space it will be claimed.

It's also seen as a key area of future warfare which is another reason somebody is going to claim it. Just imagine satellites with weapons or manned spacecraft with weapons.

The Tesla "sabotage" is getting interesting. It stinks of more cases of Elon Musk trying to cover up safety issues both at his factories and with his cars.

And the court document if you're into watching paint dry: https://www.documentcloud.org/docume...251-1-0-2.html

Here is an interesting read on the subject of space, weapons and any claiming of space: https://www.theverge.com/2017/1/27/1...ion-guidelines

It still has to be funded, which is a whole other act of Congress. Trump can declare whatever he wants, but he doesn't hold the purse strings.

Agreed on all points. Apparently there is already an issue with disrupted military sat comms that we don't have an answer for yet, or at least not for a few more years.

I think the big point is not that we don't need it, just not in the capacity that it's being sold to us.

Discrimation based on beliefs is OK in this situation: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.79c4aac64a61

but not this one: https://www.theblaze.com/news/2018/0...kicked-her-out

Ridiculous.

Well... If you read the article, the restaurant was violating a city law. It has nothing to do with "beliefs".

As for the first, those two whom didn't want to bake a cake opened the door for that one...

This.

Most every law that the religious right has managed to pass that allows them to discriminate has blown back in their faces.
