No more linking from Photobucket. Where do you store your RC pics online? So, Photobucket has decided that there will be no more 3rd party linking of stored photos unless you subscribe to their $400 a year plan. Yes, PB now expects $399.99 a year to be able to use [img] tags to link your stored pictures to a 3rd party forum/website/blog. (I contacted Photobucket and was informed that using [img] tags to link pictures to this forum is considered 3rd party hosting and requires their Plus 500 Plan.) In light of this, I am in the market for a new place to store pictures online for linking to forums. What does everyone use? Free is preferable, but low cost will work as well. |
Re: No more linking from Photobucket. Where do you store your RC pics online? I use Flickr. I think a pay around 25$ a year. But if I remember correctly, you dont have to. You simply get unlimited space. You can also upload movie files if you like. |
Re: No more linking from Photobucket. Where do you store your RC pics online? I use Imgur, its easy and (more importantly) free. |
Re: No more linking from Photobucket. Where do you store your RC pics online? Tapatalk, free hosting for uploads, you store at home or your cloud Hang up and Drive |
Re: No more linking from Photobucket. Where do you store your RC pics online? If this is true Photobucket just made themselves obsolete. Unless the competition joins, they are going to lose customers fast. Get your photos off of their now before they make you pay $400 to download them... |
Re: No more linking from Photobucket. Where do you store your RC pics online? When are they going to stop allowing it? I have a couple of threads on here that still show pictures linked from PB. |
Re: No more linking from Photobucket. Where do you store your RC pics online? It appears to be triggered by bandwidth usage. RCC is popular and if your thread gets views then everyone who views the thread downloads the photos from their servers. After a certain programmed limit it triggers a shutdown. Its more complicated than that obviously, just a quick explanation. |
