I don't drink a lick of water. just beer, green monster, and coke. its not all the sugar or whatever that gives you kidneystones. I was once told to much protein can do that to ya. or calcium.

I went back to the ER yesterday cause I was hurting bad, the took me off the Norco cause it irritated my stomach, and gave me some Percocet and they much better on my stomach Asked about Flomax and doctor told me, because of the size of my 3mm kidney stone and its current location that the Flomax would be useless So I got to call the Urologist and make appointment, they want to give me 2 weeks to pass the stone then they will use their procedures to remove the stone Again I was told it should pass on its on as long as I stay hydrated to flush out the stone But what really helped was beaning to finally take a shit after a few days of only eating bread and chicken broth, everything was too heavy on my stomach and would make me puke But once I shit, I felt so bunch better cause the pressure is gone, and been able to keep a little solid food done now I'm feeling a little better, since I have been sipping Gatorade and juices and water, I'm not peeing every ten minutes but keeping it clear like the doctor suggested, maybe I'll get lucky Last edited by kgb424; 07-16-2017 at 02:45 PM. |

They always felt like I ate something bad and had a massive 911 mud explosion coming, but nothing happened. I would sit on the toilet for an hour. Finally figured out it was stones. If you can I would eat ibuprofen like they were candy, take the max you can. They will help with the inflammation and get them out of you.

Its gonna sound gross, but it has seemed to help me on multiple occasions when I had a difficult to pass stone, and it may not help with your first until you learn how to judge where the stone is at. When I have a stubborn stone that won't seem to pass, but I know is close, I'll get into water. I don't know if its osmotic pressure or what, but it always seems to help them pass. Obviously nobody wants to admit they pee in pools or a bathtub, but I quickly got over that the first time I passed one with ease I had been fighting for days. Now I'll gladly sit in a vat of my own urine if it helps

I have gallstones. Sometimes the pain gets so bad I get nauseous and lose my lunch. Sometimes I also feel like I'm going to pass out and I have a pretty high pain tolerance. I was awake when they ripped a catheter out of my biggie smalls. I thought they ripped it right off. I can only imagine how bad the pain is of passing a kidney stone out your pee hole. |

I talked to a old friend on Facebook and he recommended that I should be drinking Cranberry Juice monthly too help fight against getting them a second time And that Cranberry juice helped him flush when he had his stones, I feel better in the morning and early afternoons than I do at night or trying to sleep So tomorrow I will go buy some cranberry juice and see if that helps |

It does help, because actual cranberry juice is a powerful diuretic. You can enjoy making yourself have to piss more in other ways, because to get the full benefits of the cranberry juice, you need to get the unsweetened, actual juice, not the cocktail blend... let me tell you how nasty it is... I tend to indulge in beer instead, accomplishes the same thing and is much more enjoyable EDIT DISCLAIMER: Drinking alcohol while utilizing narcotic based pain medication is often frowned upon. Results may vary.

I have been self medicating and it really helps with Nausea and I feel better when I eat cause I 'm hungry, instead of just having something in my stomach cause I'm feeling sick and not hungry I'm also a borderline Diabetic, and was told by a few doctors too cut out the Whiskey cause there is twice the sugar in the alcohol compared too beer, I do enjoy a tasty beer with a good meal or on really hot day you can't beat a ice cold beer and have a few beers ever so often, hanging out with my friends cooking something on the grill But not daily or weekly like when I was younger out raising hell, now I self medicated while having a few cocktails or beers and I'm good, cause I drink less and make friends medicating, and have a good time Last edited by kgb424; 07-18-2017 at 09:39 AM. |

It must not be strong enough Cranberry juice cause I been drinking it and its not giving the urge to pee more often than with water and its supposed to help flush your kidneys. it is not working for me but I will drink it since I bought

I drink anywhere from 1/2 to 1 gallon of tea a day. I get headaches if I don't anymore....plus a pot of coffee. I'm totally due for kidney stones!! :( Cranberry does help. My wife is prone to urinal infections for whatever reason and the cranberry definitely makes a difference for her. |

Today is the 8th day and really don't have that much pain any more, I quit taking the Percocet days ago, so there is no more Diarrhea and the Nausea and the puking has stopped I'm starting to eat normal foods again and watch my protein intake, too much is not good for me right now They never asked me to keep track of my intake or how much I pee, They told my kidney stone should pass on its own, I have just bean staying hydrated too help it along, I called the Urologist and they told me the 2 weeks waiting period was standard procedure And too contact them again at the end of the 2 weeks, I'm hoping it passes and I don't have too see the specialist Really have been feeling better and I'm hungry again, I just need just moderation Last edited by kgb424; 07-20-2017 at 09:20 AM. |

Just imagine...... if kidney's did not produce stones, but produced diamonds. Wife 1 to wife 2 - " We are waiting for my husband to pop out that 24 carat diamond". Wife 2 - (jealous) "My husband won't get to sleep with me unless he produces a 25 carat". |
