Default WTF Tesla

I hadn't really known much about these cars except they were electric and therefore crap IMO.

Then I ran across this video...

Hey, it works.

I know what sound better, at least until that ricer appear and ruin it all for me.

Funny stuff a V8 / V10-12 cam be as loud as they want to but all motorbikes and ricers i dont like loud.

Must be a matter of exposure cuz you dont really hear a V8 often on Danish streets.

Electric motors make instant torque, kinda hard to beat.

I've run a 50HP lathe, and gonna get a 50HP mill next month to play, errr umm, work on. 0-6000rpm in reeeeaaaaaaallllllllllllllllyyyy fast! And full torque at any speed. I can only imagine what will come in the future of electric transportation. It definitely has a future but, I think we still need more advancement in battery technology for it to be feasible for the masses.

You're just now noticing this, and even with your involvment in the R/C hobby?! With the right battery, motor, and programming, you can get quite the shock, even from unsuspecting vehicles. While not as crazy as the P100D, even GM somehow has gone "Sleeper Mode" with their new Bolt, 200hp, 266 lbs/ft of torque (@ 0rpm!) 0-60 in the mid 6's, 90mph in the 13's, high 14's in the quarter and would likely be quicker if they weren't limited to about 93mph. That's getting into what had been Muscle Car/V-8 Pony Car territory in something that looks like an Angry Bird on wheels!

One thing I find funny about the street racing videos involving this kid and his Tesla is that he tends to stick to the right lane all night and lets the RWD cars he's racing keep putting rubber down in the left lane. Then some idiot that he took money from begins to think the right lane is better and demands to run him in the right lane for "reasons" like wet spot in the left lane They swap lanes, and the guy who had to have the right lane is now in a lane with less rubber in it than the other while he just stuck the guy with the AWD car that gets all of it's torque from 0rpm where the guys who have been spinning their tires trying to keep up with the kid just spent the night putting quite a bit of rubber down on the street. After all the hootin' and hollarin' for the right lane, the Tesla still hands them their ass while they have even less traction before and like the guy in this video, ends up back in the left lane anyway.

I know almost "none" of you know or remember that "Barack Obama" in his 1st term got A Lot of flack from republicans because of his 96 million$ gov investment into Tesla... Not Only was he trying to bring better energy efficient "cars" But ALSO batteries; trying to further research in a company call A123 (makers of some of the first and marketable liFePO4 batteries) The answer to the reason why American automotive manufacturers claimed Electric cars are unsafe and costly...

....oh i'm sorry did you say something? go back to sleep....it's only the wind...

I just thought of something...

Some of you may or may not "get" it

If "we" (being the RC community) are the American public...who are the rest of these people? I mean...we Fund the motor and battery research "the most" as a community...i mean we should have LiFePO4 HV batteries buy now

"interweb" #getyourbooksmartbrainoutahere #iworkforaliving go on google or whatever search engine you use. these batteries already exist on the small scale. "like" regular "lipo" batteries.

That's right..you said "small" scale...there's too much going on for any "one" to catch everything. Duh...consumers

Also says a Lot for our community then...don't care bout the hazards...

I'm going to search them...i mean free-energy devices are everywhere on youtube...some word of these would have been published...but that's why i stopped subscribing to rc mags...
