I don't care how much it looks like a Testarosa, not worth $35,000 in my book.

Think I'd rather just have a C4 Vette instead.

Average looking Corvette (C4) with an average looking Ferrari (Testarossa) and you have an average disaster.

Not car related, but at 3 am on Monday night, a loud crashing noise in my room made me jump out of bed. I found this..

6' metal wire shelf pulled out of the sheet rock. Upon closer inspection, there were 2 toggle bolts and 2 plastic "anchors" that were literally glued in place. Seems that the "remodeled" room was another cheap skate project done by the land lord. I also found no insulation in the wall, now I know why it's so damn cold and damp in this basement room.

This is how I fixed it, not the greatest repair that I've ever done but it's a million times better than anything the landlord would have done to fix it.

Well I see its already done but I'll add that these new style of sheetrock fasteners are leaps and bounds better than the old style, I've used hundreds of these when I cant hit a stud for mounting cabinetry Toggler SnapSkru | Self Drilling Drywall Anchor, Drywall Anchors, Wall Anchors

If it's an exterior wall there definitely should be insulation, if it's an interior wall, it's not uncommon for there to be none. Some builders/owners might want it for sound dampening.

I had that happen with the pot rack above my sink. Amazingly, nothing in the dish drying rack below it was broken.

I dont mess with tarantula hawks.
I backed away like Peter Griffin and went in through the garage. And yes I warned my family not to open the front door!

That wall is right against the exterior wall. No insulation ( or vapor barrier) on either of the 2 walls that butt against an exterior wall in my room. ( end of group townhouse ) 24"-ish on center interior framing wasn't a surprise either. This is just an means to an end, I'll get back up on my feet well enough to buy my own place ASAP.

I had never heard of those, so I looked them up. The sting isn't harmful to humans but hurts like nothing on this earth for five solid minutes. Sounds like fun...

Wow...I remember these suckers from when I was stationed in New Mexico but I never knew what they were called (no interwebs). I've always given a wide berth to any stinging insects though...no bueno!

Ah good ol' Facebook groups. I saw that as well. I try to talk people out of stuff like that, but the "experts" chime in and tell me that they've been running 4600kv on 8S since the Ascender came out and they "ain't" broken one part yet and it out crawls everybody on planet Earth.
