| Re: the WTH thread is back! I thought the same thing, "grade 8" and all even the flat washers. But, he didn't use lock washers....so fail. I just read It’s a 4.88 pinion and 3.54 ring gear. Haha. Last edited by Correll; 12-19-2017 at 11:25 AM. |

I googled to see if they make a spacer for Dana 30's and I couldn't find one. I guess Dana 30's back the carrier bolts out with deep ratios anyway. Then I read It’s a 4.88 pinion and 3.54 ring gear. Sweet. Ingenuity at its finest. The rust will just help lap the different ratios together, same as actual machining essentially.

Had a WTH moment today at work. Our lot guy dropped a $90k trailer on our '17 F350 dually. Unhitched and drove off with the landing gear up. He doesn't work for us any more. I'll have pics tomorrow when I write up the estimate.

Sounds like he'd fit in nicely with the tree crew staying at the extended stay hotel my friend works at. They've managed to make a hotel hideabed vanish, bend and destroy a light pole in the parking lot by backing a F650 tree truck into it, and now destroyed the hotel manager's paid for truck by cutting across the lane he was in to get into a McDonalds giving him nowhere to go but into the side of their truck, amazingly, they're still there and gradually going home for Christmas, hopefully for the sake of the hotel's staff and other guests, they won't be allowed back in the new year.

I don't know about him, but his right wrist/forearm definitely is. He's likely caught between the front brake and grip, it's pretty common. You'll generally come loose once your wrist snaps so it can slip through. |
