Either one will need one of these. If you go Castle ESC when you smoke the stocker it can be used to program so lessens the sting in $$

That Savox 1230SG is hard to beat.
Torque:
@4.8V: 417.0 oz-in
@6.0V: 500 oz-in

I just take the top of the servo off and pack it with grease, so water can't get in through the spindle to the green board on the bottom. Then just spray or dip in Plastidip and you are good to go.
I have a video I'm almost finished editing to show how I do this. I waterproof the servos in all my rigs.
Just look on youtube, there are plenty of walk throughs on there I'm sure.
Couldn't agree more

There are plenty like the that are high voltage......the reason i like the savox high torque one is because it only requires 6v which is all.the rx i use will handle...that way i can run 1 bec for the whole rig and not just for the servo...so 500oz for a.servo that just plugs right in is tough to beat

Default Savox

The 2290 at 6v is 555.5oz
I’ve never had luck with ANY 500oz servo without a bec. Savox always had glitches or brownouts.
I only run one 10a Castle bec, even OPIE with servo winch and lights.

You know a reciever bypass can be made for under $1 right? I power my 2290's direct by the bed and only run the servos signal wire to the receiver and power it with the esc.

I've been running a 1210SG on my Bomber for 5 months. This is my first Savox and have previously always ran Hitec. Its basher/crawler brushless combo on 2.2 Swamper XLs. Running 3S with a BEC and it gets it fair share of cartwheel wrecks and lawn dart moments. Surprised it has lasted this long to be honest, I've had alot of other parts fail during the time this servo has managed to live. My GF has gone through all the stock Axial Servos I had sitting around and am going to be passing this 1210 onto her bomber and decided to order a 2290 to go in mine. Couldn't have asked more of the 1210 and I'm excited to see the possible improvement with the upgrade to the 2290.

You will be impressed , vs the 1210.
Set it at 6v and you will notice the extra. Then up it to 7 or 7.4v I’ve had three different 400oz servos. The 2290 is hands down the big dog.
I’m shocked I’m recommending it, but White Trash was right again !
