| Explosion!!!!!!
A chemical plant a couple miles from my office in downtown KC had an explosion today about 2:15. It shook our building pretty good, we are on the seventh floor so slightly amplified maybe or maybe not. It also flickered our lights and shut down my computer. You could see this huge black plume out the window it was crazy!!!!! |

They are saying it is corrosive but "not that harmful to your health". This things just keeps getting worse right now. The EPA is en route with a helicopter to measure the toxicity. There are two huge tanker cars that are starting to vent now. If one of these things go it will for sure shake my house!!!!! *edit* they say the cars are filled with petrolem distelit. They have all the fire fighters a half mile away now incase they blow. |

My Mommy called from Cali to make sure I was ok. Mom, I live 90 miles away, it was a chemical spill, not a nuclear explosion. |

ANYTHING that is CORROSIVE is not good for your health. I am a Hazmat Tech and I know from experience that corrosives are not fun to play with. They can and will hurt you. Not only that I would bet that there was more than corrosives in the air. Thats just what they say to keep to town from freaking out, also the media will turn alot of things around. Might wanna keep your eyes open, and stay informed of the matter.

I was quoting the not harmful to your health part because it sounded totally rediculous to me. They were telling the planes that landed at KCI to immediately wash the plane because it would be harmful to the finish. But they were not saying ANYTHING to the owners of cars in the area about the fallout. If they can prove anything about corrosive fallout I can only imagine what that insurance company will owe. Oh and P.S. the tomatoe is selling on ebay right now for $0.99...... plus $649.99 s&h |
