Default Bruiser Commercials

No, not commercials for a Bruiser, but Toyota UK is using them in some Hilux ads. Pretty darn cool!

Is the HiLux just a HiLift body on a Bruiser chassis with some different wheels and tires?

Hilux is the name of the 1:1 Toyota truck pretty much everywhere but here in the US. Pretty much any Tamiya with the old school 80's Toyota pickup shell could be referred to as a Hilux.

I believe the only ones called HiLux by Tamiya specifically were the trucks in badhoopty's vid and the Toyota version of the Hilift chassis.

I meant the truck in the link below. I thought it was called the HiLux. I was asking if the chassis and drivetrain was shared with a Bruiser. It looks like it to me, but I'm not positive.

No - there were quite a few differences between the two. The frame was solid aluminum instead of stamped steel, different radio box, springs, ect. The bodies were also quite a bit different.

Here's another example of Toyota paying homage to the Bruiser.

Toyota does not make the nicest looking trucks, but it looks cool in the Bruiser theme.

Its really awesome to see this, in so many ways... to think that years ago I had started up another petition to get the Bruiser re-released and look at where we are now.

Awesome stuff

I need to get a Bruiser or Mountain Rider before they are discontinued again. I keep saying it, but keep resisting. What's wrong with me?

Get on it! I did just that... and that snowballed into me becoming a member here and getting into rock crawlers.

And the circle is complete.

We have a RC truck based off a real truck, inspired by a RC truck, based on a real truck; what a time to be alive.
