Default Polystyrene sources

Hey Everyone

I'm looking to make a bed for a 6x6 I'm building and want to try my hand at polystyrene for the first time. Where do you guys buy yours from? What thickness, 1/8, 1/4??

I get mine at LHS. Plastruct display has many tubes angles rods and such as well as many thin sheets with various patterns molded in. For thick sheets Midwest products sells thicker sheets as well as clear and mirrored styrene sheets. I'm forgetting another company that sells similar shapes as plastruct.

Here are the websites: https://plastruct.com/ & https://evergreenscalemodels.com/, and they can be purchased at most hobby stores, especially ones that sell model railroad supplies, also Hobby Lobby and Michael's

What Mike said, although I've heard or modelers that feel the prices Plastruct and Evergreen sells at are too much, and use the plastic "For Sale" signs too. I'd just look at the modeler specific stuff, they make them preformed so you can get corrugated, ribbed, tile, pavement, diamond plate, ect for what ever you might need.

Find a local plastics supplier and you can get 4'X8' sheets of styrene cheap!
