Sorry guys, thought I lost you.

When does 55 mph really mean 55 mph?? We are hooking it through Chicago, through construction, toll booths and LOTS of traffic. Because it is a construction area the speed limit is 55. OK...now let's see...if I drive 55, I'm getting run over. So - perhaps I should go 60...yep still getting run over. So maybe 65 is the expected speed limit. Maybe no one else sees all the construction cones sitting along the freeway...so up to 65 we go! WHEEE!
Oh darn, there is a toll booth. I'm in the left lane because the GPS says I need to stay to the left. Guess what, Cash for the Toll Booth is in the RIGHT lane. I can't get there from here! Catch me if you can. I am staying where I am rather than cause a wreck.
I was very glad to get to the campground last night. After these adventures ,I just didn't have the energy to write the blog. So I will catch you up now:

I don't know if you guys remember last year when Ryan posted photos of his Halloween decoration, they were fantastic. When we rolled up Tue he was hard at it again.

Just a little teaser of what it is going to look like.

Ryan, Cookie, Link, and Oakley (the dog, of course) we were all so much fun visiting! We feel like our extended family just grew by four. We didn't want to leave Minnesota, but as Mr. Nelson use to sing, "On the Road again".
OH, and the black hat was a gift from my new best friend Link! (Be sure to show him the pic Ryan. )

Here are a couple photos at a state park in Wisconsin. nice fall colors.

I'm posting this in a new reply, the puter is acting funny so didn't want to lose what I had already crafted.

Made it to Zippyswamp's in Gillette WI after a fun day of running around major Freeway construction in Minneapolis. After hearing the GPS saying "Rerouting, rerouting" several times, we got headed in the right direction.

Had a great time catching up on gossip and times with Todd and Nancy and Colt.

Here is a couple other passions that Todd has beside Rock crawlers. His 68 Chevelle SS 396 and Cub Cadet tractors.

Pretty sure Todd was happier than he looks, he had just got Colt to sit when Marcia snapped the pic.

Thanks for the great visit Todd and Nancy!!!

This evening we are in West Angola Indiana, I had no idea Indiana had such a large Amish community.

Ok guys, all caught up, sorry I got behind!!

Marcia and Ernie

It was great fun visiting with you and Marcia as well Ernie. Next time I'll work on smiling. Just so hard for me to do...
Hope you and Marcia get into some warmer weather. Keep on a rolling.

We have a couple smile pics on Marcia's phone, we will try to post them up later!

Spent the night in Thompson Ohio last night and what a night it was!! More on that in a bit.

Here we are headed toward Cleveland and I'm thinking those are looking more and more like storm clouds.

The Cleveland skyline, the Cleveland Indian stadium is to the right of the photo.

And in the lake front campground.

Now, a little about the storm:

So gang, this is Marcia. Ernie wanted me to talk about the storm we had after we settled in the campground.

We got the covered wagon hooked up to water, electric, etc before the storm really hit. While we still had light rain, we decided to take showers to settle in for the night. We made it through those and it was still pretty decent. You could hear thunder in the distance, so we decided to take our laundry over and do a couple loads of wash. We made it to the laundry room and were loading washers when the floor of the room just shook! Loud claps of thunder rumbled outside. By the time we headed back to the motorhome, the rains were coming. Got back to the campsite when an announcement came on the TV for a severe thunderstorm. Ya Think? Yes, I would say there was a severe storm. The winds blew. I was glad we were positioned next to a larger RV so they could block some of the wind. Otherwise we might have blown away! Then we could hear what sounded like hail or sleet. Very exciting!

Then we watched the Ducks game which was a bit disappointing. The second half was decent, but I don't know who the team was the first half! Oh well, it is only a game.

Today we are headed out under cloudy skies and light snow. We will see what today brings. Weather has been a continuing mystery!

Thanks for looking,

Marcia & Ernie

Beautiful pics and scenery! So awesome to see all these sites and scenery vicariously through your travels. Looks like you're in Cleveland, Ohio now. For some downtown urban scenery, make sure you visit Playhouse Square and also the West Side Market. I'd also suggest the Cuyahoga National Valley just South of Cleveland. Lot's of beautiful scenery and some awesome Crawling. You can park right across from Happy Days Lodge. Walk South across RT303 to the Lodge and there are just a ton of hiking trails with awesome rock out croppings and crawling areas. Safe travels!

Thank you young man!!! Kind of why we decided to start the travel thread.

We didn't hang around the Thompson area very long this morning, the news was talking about "lake effect snow" so headed inland after a short stint on I-90 we switched to I-86. Today was kind of a long day for us. 343miles and spending the night in Harpursville NY. Camp grounds are getting harder to find open this time of the year so picked what we could find for the covered wagon, registered, bedded down the horses, and settled in for the night. Suppose to get down into the 20's tonight BRRRRRRRRRR.

I think you two are pushing the 20s this way. It was mid 80s here when you left. It frosted 2 nights ago. I imagine it will be snowing when you arrive

I got your message Ernie, but, sadly, I am pretty tied up this week after work (helping a family member move). So, I will make it a point to face north-west-ish and wave.

Safe travels!

Well, the internet has been shaky to say the least the last few days so I will try again today. Thanks for the wave skinny, glad to read that you have your priorities right! Family comes first before everything else! maybe next time if there is one.

Ok, I started this post 3 days ago and got it to the end hit submit and the internet logged me out so lost everything. So I'm going to submit every few lines and see if I can get it all in.

Todd, we told this guy you were done working on Cub Cadets and wanted to start working on bigger tractors. Gave him your address and told him to stop by.

This is the Seneca Nation's Casino , the facility was huge.

This was a pond at the campsite we stayed at three nights ago, see Marcia swimming in the pond.

Here I told her we needed to keep up the façade of it being cold so she put on her jeans and heavy coat!

A few pics of the area.

And a few post card pics of a very nice sun set.

Left our good friends in Meredith New Hampshire this morning, was hard to say good bye. And now as Willie sings "On the Road Again"
I think our back door latch on the motor home broke a little while ago, anyway it won't open so we need to find a RV repair shop tomorrow.
Just a little added adventure!

Marcia and Ernie

"Keep on RVing Ernie and Martia".
Looks like some beautiful country right there. I really like that load of red ones, but I ain't quite ready to "step" up to the big ones...
Be safe out there you two.

Did you get snow in Merideth, or did it stay north of you? Thankfully, it just rained down here in Manchester.

No sticking snow, just a little wet, but cold cold cold! We had some snow coming through New York yesterday.

Been visiting with family this last week so not many photos right now.
