It was kind of desolate. But it was still a nice cruz through there.

So we spent time with old friends in Casa Grande and had a great time!!!

Somewhere along the way we saw this giant roadrunner trying to eat this light pole.

Ok, on with the road trip! A few pics on route I-10 from Las Cruces to Casa Grande.

A really cool survivor we saw on the freeway!!!

Leaving Skips and Kathy's, it was fun talking about our old high school days!

I could not see any roads going up to this place!

The lake in Parker Arizona, we are moving through Snow Bird country!!

Made it to Lake Havasu City about 3:30, Wow what a cool lake. We made the walk down to the lake for some sunset picks.

Saw this at a lot on the way down! And it was for sale, talked the guy down to $92,000 and made a down payment, and as I'm trying to figure out how to get it home and Marcia woke me up, She said I was drooling!!!!!! It was mine in my dream.

Ernie waiting for the color.

Who is this pretty lady?

I'm terrible at selfies.

There she is again, enjoying the sunset.

And one for us Bronco guys, at the same lot as the Woody.

We are going to try and get a couple pics of the famous London Bridge on our way out today?

Thanks for looking.

Hey Chris and Chris and Nate, sorry but we are headed to 395 from here so won't be able to see you again on this trip, maybe next time!

Hey Todd, glad you wondered back our way!! We need to see if there is some way of getting you and Nancy on a road trip when she retires!!!!

Well, last night in Vegas was interesting to say the least!!! Floor shows, drinks, and gambling OH MY...…………….I don't remember how I got there, but Marcia had to bail me out this morning???

Headed through Death Valley this morning on our way to Lone Pine on Hwy 395, staying at the same camp ground as we stayed at when we went to Proline by the Fire earlier this year.
I will post up some pics of todays journey in the morning, what a amazing place the Valley is!!!

Thanks for the invite Cary, If I would have won big in Vegas we would be on the way to the airport!

Since there is just a few of you following now, I'm going to really bore you with photos on our trip through Death Valley yesterday.

After what Zippy1 said yesterday I want him to feel like he was there with us.

The landscape is really starting to change, sometimes we felt like we could have been on the Moon! What a great day it was.

The area was so desolate it was beautiful!

Haven't done a pic of the covered wagon for a while.

Yes, that is a couple up there taking in the view! I talked with them later in the parking lot and got a email to send them a copy.

Time for breakfast, going to save and be back in a while.

From a viewpoint above the parking area.

Can you find the covered wagon???

Some reading material from the Death Valley visitors Center.

Pics from the sand dunes.

A sidewinder anyone??? This picture freaked Marcia out as she thought I saw a real snake. This was on a sign in the parking lot, so NOT REAL!

We were in a training zone and this guy buzzed us several times!!! WOW our whole body shook when he went over.

He flew right through this little canyon!

I told you a lot of photos!!

A couple pics of Dolomite mines.

Todays quiz, what is Dolomite???

Death Valley is certainly an amazing place and it looks like you got to explore way more of it than I did several years ago. Of course, I was there in August so you probably had temperatures much more friendly to exploring than my 130* day.

May the traffic odds be in your favor during the home stretch.

Death Valley is beautiful in it's own way, but dang hot in summer. I've been through a mult-day sandstorm there, like the movies almost with a wall of sand coming at us. Stopping by on your way home?

I don't think we would have decided to take that route if it would have been HOT!!! 79 degrees at 2:00 PM, weather was perfect!

We saw warnings for 3 days about dust storms, but were lucky enough not to see one!

Sorry, we really wanted to see you and Thim again but we needed to get home so choose to come 395, we are in Bordertown Nevada tonight and will cross back into Oregon by PM tomorrow.

I figured with yours and Kayla's knowledge of healing stones that you might know the answer. But, you have to come to Oregon to get your prize!

Good job, Mike! It is a good thing you know this stuff!

Greetings from Bordertown, NV. Here are a few pics for today:

OK, Todd. These pics are for you. I snapped a bunch today for you, but won't post them all. Just a good sampling.

So that is all the pics for today. Probably the last post for a couple days. We will be home Wednesday, hopefully. Once we get there we will need a little time to regroup. Then I will do a recap of the trip including the high points, low points, miles traveled, average fuel costs, regrets, and what we enjoyed the most.

This has been a great adventure. I hope you have enjoyed the journey as much as we have. We have learned many lessons. The main thing we learned is that people are basically good and kind. Many of them indicated we were living their dream

If you have dreamed of taking an adventure, please do it! Life is short and things happen in a heartbeat! Enjoy your time and live your dreams.
Marcia and Ernie
