I don't know if they built it or just supplied suspension parts, but Detroit Speed was involved with the truck.

He probably makes more money from the Hoonigan stuff than actually racing, to be fair.

I love fifteen52 wheels. I used to have the RML Snowflakes on my old VW GTI.

Let me know if it’s good. Probably a bunch of drifting, tire smoke, dounuts and drone pan shots. Hopefully I am surprised.

This isn’t good? Lol

I know what you mean though.

I’m pretty excited about this video and this build. Love the eco boost power plant (hate the name) but 900hp with some fast scrolling turbos should be fun to watch.

It's ok. Seen one Gymkhana, you've seen them all, IMO.

But as far as the engineering of the truck and look, super rad.

Eh, he was a co-founder for DC shoes so even if the racing didn't pan out, he wouldn't be hurtin. He basically just does what he wants and some people apparently think it's cool. ha.

i think the truck is a bitchin follow-up to the hoonicorn.

plus, he did it for the same reasons i built a 79 ford RC. we both learned to drive in our pop's dent-side
ironically we both have the same current habits (ok yes he is much better at it than i am, but it doesn't stop me from trying... ON A TRACK).

i already put my pop's color scheme on this truck in forza horizon 4. i'll try to upload pics later. now i wish we would get a "normal" dent side ford truck for some trailing/crawling in the game.

anyway back to mr. block... im not watching on amazon, although i could since my wife is a prime member (and recently that means i am too).
but i kinda don't want any spoilers (no pun intended) before the full release of gymkhana 10 on youtube.

its not for everyone but I've been a fan since he unveiled the DC rally team with 3 Subaru's way back in... jeez it must have been like 2002? it was in sport compact car magazine if anyone remembers that. it was the least ricey of all the import mags and i miss the hell out of it.

i love this stuff. wish i could work for hoonigan somehow.

*found the image from the magazine i think it was 2005.

He's got a great life and I certainly can't hold that against him...

And anyone that helped popularize rally in this country is cool by me.

I grew up living in Germany and never understood why rally racing wasn't more popular over here - hell, even rallycross is practically as old as I am (50-somethin' or other)...

All my favorite cars from when I was small were rally cars.

I found it frustrating that by the time I was in high school all my friends knew or cared about were Camaros and Mustangs.

I also was a skater from the mid-70's up until (surprisingly) recently, and he brought the style from that scene over to the motorsports world.

Also, he's just such a goofy bear of a guy I really find it hard to understand why anyone would dislike him!

But he's not a "hero" to me, I admire the drivers that have been winning in the World Rally Championship since its early years.

For example, there's a woman driver by the name of Michèle Mouton who came in second in the overall 1982 World Rally Drivers Championship, driving an Audi Quattro.

I have a soft spot for her 'cause she also raced the Lancia Stratos, my ultimate car...

Retired when they killed Group-B cars, she's still the most recent woman to race in top-tier rallying - pretty bad-ass!

BTW- she WON the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in '85, and broke a world record doing it, even with a hailstorm during her run.

Bobby Unser whined about it and she said "If you have the balls you can try to race me back down as well."

Hah!

No wonder they called her "The Black Volcano"...

Agreed once i seen the second gymaka or whatever it turned into a very long coca cola advert for me

Not to mention all the posers going for the rally look, with gold painted wheels and little fake tow hooks

Dirk as soon as you said Mouton, I immediately remembered the awesome "girl power" Audi commercial from a while back.
Once my morning settles down I will scour the youtubez to find it.
It was a fantastically edited commercial.

I seem to remember it being longer but I think this is it...
https://youtu.be/C2zO2bdoblg
And really there are a whole bunch of cool footage that should come up as related after watching that.
