Not hardly, but when I use to be able to smoke, it's the one thing that could get me to relax after putting up with all the jackasses on the road.

Shot and a beer is ok for taking the edge off of a crappy day at work, but nothing relaxes me more that a good toke.

Six more years and I'll be retired from this government job, and I'll be able to light up once again.

I do my daily meditation at work right after I clock in.

So I went off on a tangent or two and found a guy by the name of Alan Watts. The Alan Watts Podcast has several hours worth of lectures, and it's been a mind blower. If you're into philosophy and/or theology, definitely put this on your list.

Is it the "Cutting Through the Matrix with Alan Watt" podcast you refer to?

I am big fan of podcasts and will check it out.

No. This one is simply called the Alan Watts Podcast. I'll check that one out though.

edit: Breaking Through the Matrix is a very different thing.

I believe Alan Watts just died in the past few years. I meditated heavily in my 20’s while going into a concentrated period of conscious spiritual development. It was all Buddhist based meditation that I practiced. Mindfulness, loving kindness and breathing focussed were the three meditations we used in the group I regularly meditated with. I loved it! My meditation now is much more sporadic, but has become a powerful tool for my health and well being. Alan Watts was my hero for a few years while I was regularly listening to his CD’s in my truck stereo. He completely wrapped his mind around Buddhist and Daoist philosophy in his lifetime. He has a series on CD called ‘Out of Your Mind’. I must have listened to it 60 times. I don’t know a lot about his life beyond his knowledge, but the dude had a wicked sense of humour and had me hooked on his mind.

Edit. Never mind looks like he died on the 70’s. Crazy
