Welp, things didn't go as expected today

I had been feeling off for the past few days and the symptoms seemed to line up with side effects of a new medication I've been on for the last month. Called the Dr's office on lunch and advised a nurse of the issue, and she recommended going to the ER soon, went back to work, talked with my boss and went to the local ER. Since these issues were heart related, I was admitted to the ER and everything has checked out all right other than one thing. Now I'm spending the night, if not the next two un the hospital.......

Hope you like Jell-O.:ror:

Sometimes it’s better to err on the side of caution & chill for a night or two than go home & get hit there. Good luck with the outcome. I don’t mind hospital stays...up to about three days, then it gets old. Fast.

Lol, I had meatloaf and brown rice tonight, not one for Jello:ror:

My boss said the same, and I gotta agree on hospital stays, Mom has had plenty that were a week, plus, sometimes upwards of months in multiple locations. Luckily due to the above, this hospital I'm in is like a second home.

I'm sure you're in capable hands but you're in my thoughts anyway. Update when you can.

Yeah better safe than sorry with the old ticker.

Personally the longest i have been in a hospital are 1 hour, places like that physically make me sick, so i prefer to break out the old bend needle and thread and sew myself up if needed ( which it have been a couple of times when i was young and wild )

ALL of the pills that was tried on me for depression and severe mood swings also make me sick as hell, so after a few weeks of those we agreed on i better lay off those as they dident do me any good only the side effects was to report.

BJoe, hope everything is OK and a scare is all it was.

Well that sucks. Somehow I've been able to never spend a night in a hospital as a patient, but I can imagine it's not a pleasurable experience. Hope everything goes well though!

This is orobably only the second full night I've spent here, three by tomorrow and only 2 as a patient. There was one night I stayed here in 2017 when Mom almost died on us that time and I've taken quite a few naps on the couches they have in each room when she's been heee, kinda wanted to sleep on that vs the bed last night too!

I do appreciate things here too, I'm trying to get my R/C stuff running and use them as a means to get exercise (plus when the niece/nephew arrives and is old enough!) And had been planning to meet up with my friend Dave for another friday night bashing session.

I hope all is well. I spent more than my fair share in the hospital for similar reasons.

I hope your nurses are hot too!

Thanks, so far things are working out ok, wrenched on my Stampede and 4-Tec 2.0 last night (wanted to monday and tuesday night, but we know what happened there:roll:), found a spare stub axle for the E-Revo that I can swap out for now for the Friday Night bash session with a friend. Went back to work today, all went well there as well.

Couldn't complain there, they're usually all easy to get along with too, almost always have been for all the time Mom has spent there.

So far things are good, was at work almost all of this week (dr's appt I missed, thought it was an hour later than it was) and the last 2 of last week, went out for some hight speed bashing with a friend and two of his former coworkers last friday and then out crawling yesterday with him, first time my SCX10 has been run that hard in years!

Re: Welp, things didn't go as expected today

Had a Dr appointment last night, she went over what the findings of all my tests were with me, she repeated what I saw where everything looked ok for my size and excessive weight. I did express my concern about the blood pressure med I had started taking and she decided my blood pressure isn't bad enough to warrant that med, but advised I keep up on the exercising and diet changes then talk to my normal Dr in 3 months.

Good, gotta eat better and not too much, exercise what you can (walking, Qigong, TaiChi, etc) dont' push too soon or hard, it's the long run that matters. All this affects weight, blood pressure, etc. :)

That's why I had started crawling again the friday before this happened and continued to do so afterwards, exercise that I hadn't had in some time.

Just got a bill from the Hospital today, just short of $5k, thought I was going to have an actual heart attack this time:-o

Not sure where thise funds are going to come from though, I may need to look for a better paying job now:shock:

Re: Welp, things didn't go as expected today

I'd like to have a better laying job too, although I don't see how that would help with a hospital bill...

Just remember you never pay a medical bill until you get the third one...some of them seem to get magically settled, or just disappear.

Hope you're feeling better!
