Anyone familiar with this old movie. Lee Majors, Burgess Meredith.

Futuristic, pre-WW3 thing, no gas, free america, Lee Majors builds race car and drives across country to get to free america, Burgess, old jet pilot hired by government to hunt him down before he makes it.

See it if you can, great old movie.
