Why is this site so ate up with adds? It's almost to the point where I don't want to browse on my phone anymore. Hell I had to try 3 different times to reply to a post because an add would pop up over the text box. Anyone know of a good add blocker for mobile?

I don't see any ads. Are you accessing from the website, or via the Taptalk app? If your accessing from a phone or tablet, is highly recommend using the Taptalk app. Even better, pay the small price for Taptalk Pro, and you'll never be bombarded with ads again.

I use the browser, taptalk only gets used if I want to post pictures.

It's a pain to navigate (for me) and things like the notifications don't work.

I use Tapatalk because looking at this site on mobile with a browser is annoying ASF!

Might be your settings? Notifications, search, damn near everything just works better I find on Tapatalk.

I've never messed with the settings in Tapatalk. When I get a notification it just takes me to a loading screen with a spinning circle, the post never loads.

I use Chrome to browse and there is ads but they're not intrusive like you're seeing.

I tried Tapatalk too, don't care for it at all and I'll only use it if I need to post pics.

Notifications work perfectly for me (and others, based on other's posts). As pointed out by others, it was probably how you had your settings configured (in the Taptalk app and/or your RCC settings). Taptalk does have its own settings, but it also relies on the account settings (ie. your actual settings, such as when accessing RCC via website browser) of the individual forums you're logged into.

Additionally, Taptalk's settings are divided into two 'settings' - the app's "general" settings, as well as individual settings for each forum you're logged into. I have Taptalk logged into 6 different forums - RCC, SBG, Traxxas, FJ-09/Tracer Owners Group, Adventure Rider, & Yuneec Typhoon H Owners - so I had to configure 7 sets of settings, but it's not difficult. You can very easily access multiple forums from a single app...plus, navigating between forums is extremely simple, and quick. You also have the ability to see the latest posts from all of your forum in a single collum, making accessing them even quicker. Last, but certainly not least, is the outstanding photo uploading ability provided by Taptalk.

You, and others who are 'avoiding' using Taptalk, might consider giving Taptalk another shot. I'm not sure how long it's been, but I can tell you, in the past 2+ years that I've been using it, I've seen several improvements. For those whose use goes even further back, I'm sure they've notice a heck of a lot of improvements.

Yeah I get full screen ads that pop up on my browser as well, super annoyed with that. It never used to do that, I'm not sure what changed.

I have tried using taptalk as well, I'm just not a fan of it. Prefer the browser look I guess.

I switched to using Brave as my browser recently because of the ads. I don't have any of them anymore.

I'm using FireFox for a browser and I have never encountered ads like that. What ever the issue is, I suspect it is not RCC causing it.

I'll have to try some different browsers, this in the only site that does this ad thing popping up. Not other forums or shopping sites just here.

I use chrome on my phone and it's ate up with adds, but it's only on rcc. I use Firefox on my PC with an add blocker so obviously I don't see adds. Unfortunately I'm usually browsing from phone. Maybe I will check out Firefox mobile.

I stopped using the mobile version of Chrome a long time ago because it doesn't support Adblock.

I use the Samsung browser now, which is basically Chrome, and it supports Adblock.

No ads for me.

More green star supporters would probably help, gotta create revenue to pay the bills some how.

But I would try a different browser for mobil. Chrome gives me ad's like that but Puffin seems to be pretty clean for me.
