I was blown away to see oil closed at a negative price -$36.73!!! Does that mean if I get my oil tanker over there, they will pay me to load up? :lmao:

Insane times.

Wouldn't it be great if we could buy a few thousand gallons at todays prices and use it as we need it?

With the refineries basically shutting down because there's no place to store any more product, once the country "opens" back up and the demand picks up, I'm willing to bet that the producers will let the reserves go low to create an artificial shortage before ramping back up production, driving the prices back up. I'm hoping that I'll be able to take my Colorado road trip in June and still be able to afford the fuel for the 4runner!

Re: How about them oil prices?

I haven't gotten gas in either of my trucks since late February! Never gone this long without buying gas...especially with my F150 which is quite thirsty.

We're at $2.09 currently, of course with the state getting its vig of about 60c per gallon, we have the second highest gas tax in the nation. (and some of the poorest roads, go figure)

As soon as it drops below $2, I'm going to run over and fill up both trucks. A little speculating never hurts. :)

Re: How about them oil prices?

Here it is very cheap at 4.7 USD/Gal - 4.3 EURO/Gal or in local lingo 8.8 DKkr / liter, so i X with 3.7 to get DKkr / gallon, and then hit up exchange rate.

But of course with taxes like that on gasoline we Danes enjoy much better roads than the rest of the world, pretty much anything here is better than anywhere else,,,,,,, o wait

its $1.95/g here...

but i recall years ago that there was a company... you create an account and you buy gas. and it is listed in your account how many gallons you bought...
then when prices went up you could then use them...

i forget all the ins and outs as i read about it when gas was $4.06/g here...

but yeah would be nice to look into that again

The gas prices on the west coast really haven't dropped much.
The lowest I could find today was $2.59 / gal.

Larger commercial companies can do this for their fuel purchases, usually with diesel fuel. It would be cool if we could do it on a smaller consumer level.
