The local meet ups are fun even just to watch. Earlier I mentioned that the videos I had seen had a lot of wrecks, but watching the races in person, especially the guys in the top 10, it’s pretty competitive and impressive how fast and stable some of these are. The people that wreck a lot usually are just in practice rounds or bounced right away before the real bracket racing happens. It is surprisingly fun to watch in person. |

Figured I’d drop these here as well since the Nova body is a big part of the reason I got the DR10. Haven’t driven it a whole lot yet but I sure do like these bodies. |

Wow! Looks awesome TB! Um, if that’s how body painting turns out after hanging out with Makers Mark, then I need to pick some of that up! Cool colors and great logo! Brings back memories of drinking RC many decades ago! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Really sharp paint job! I have the same body for my DR10 but opted for the black tough color, mostly out of laziness. Reminds me, need to get back on the DR10 build....have a 2/3 roller at this point. |

Hey thanks y’all! Any more no prep builds underway? Feel free to post them here too. Those of you that have these are you driving them often? I haven’t had mine out in a while. Maybe get back to it sometime soon now that it’s not 110+ every day. |

Yep. Got the VXL Bandit, and a lcg chassis, then picked up a 2nd hand roller lcg slash already converted. I am going to use the bandit stuff on a TARP OCD6001 Stage 3 chassis it with mid motor setup for now. ATM have a Maclan MMax Pro ESC and Trinity 3.5t Drag motor for it. May also be picked up a Maclan 4.5t MMR Drag Motor for it or the Chuckworks. Just need to grab another ESC for the Chuckworks. may just use the HW esc on it with the 4.5 Maclan. The Chuckworks RC Redline Chassis on the way also, which is mid motor only setup. Both shipped out Tuesday and should be here anytime now. Have a bunch of parts here now waiting. Still no bodies for those 2 yet, but, I have a couple in mind, and the 69 Nova is one. the 2nd hand rig has the 66 Chevy II body. Then the other body will probably be this early 70's Vega I seen, but was sold out by the time I went to buy one. In the meantime, here is a pic of the Chevy II. Will be putting the VXL combo in it from the bandit. Last edited by Timmahh; 09-23-2020 at 10:27 PM. |

Topher- That Nova is absolutely smokin hot! And not sure how many folks here remember the commercials but as soon as I saw the graphic, that old song came right into my head lol.

I threw this together from a bunch of spare parts I had lying around. Slash LCG chassis with Bandit control arms and a Mamba X with a 5700kv spare motor really nothing special

This is the only forum I ever go on so I’m not too sure about a no prep one but there are a lot of FB groups. They’re kind of a sh** show though. Go in there and ask about using simple green to clean your tires counts as prep and sit back and eat some popcorn. | ||
