| Who Got Instincts?
After many years of not wearing a wrist-anchored chronometer, I am thinking about getting one. But, I want a "smart" one. But, it can't be too smart, I work in secure buildings around classified material, so my options are limited. One of the smarties that I am allowed to have is the Garman Instinct. It looks good, does all of the biometrics, has altitude and GPS. In addition to Bluetooth, it also has ANT+, which is a wireless standard just for fitness gear. My questions: • Does anyone have one of these? • If so, how do you like it? • Is the extra 50 bones for solar worth it? • Does solar help the battery life all that much? • How long does your battery last? Thanks |

I don't have the instintct, but I'm on my second Garmin smart watch. I stay with Garmin vs. orther brands as they've been tough as nails (even during MTB crashes, etc), get a full week or more of battery life, and do all the basic smart watch stuff that I need, and their customer service has been great to me personally. I'm currently using a Vivoactive 3 music, so you can go out for a run with just the watch and wireless earbuds, which is nice.

I would opt for the solar upgrade. Changing batteries every 10-15 years in my Pathfinder (average intelligence watch) has been very nice.
