I just did some unintentional snow wheeling myself after i put er in the ditch. That's what is so wonderful about 4x4's, no need for a tow truck, just drive right out As far as your question goes, i don't really have a clue. I'm only 16, so i haven't done a whole lot of wheeling to answer it. |

3 grand on the tach going 5mph isn't any worse than 3 grand on the tach going 60mph on the highway unless you suddenly get traction. |

3000 rpms? Is that high? I could cruise all day along in my Toyota's at 3200 down the HWY. On the trail 4K on the tach was pretty normal. Hell... my old '90 Toyota would find the rev limiter at least twice a week just during HWY driving. Off road it was common to see 5K on the tach. | |

ok a bit more info.... i have a 96 xlt bronco with tow package.it also has the edo4 and i don't want to blow it up.(big money to rebuild). it has a 351, 31 bfg's, stock suspension. it does relatively well for trail driving considering its almost stock. i know 3k isn't alot but man pushing through 3 feet of snow heats things up. maybe i worry to much ? |
