Individuals....... My carrier is unique, he’s young, accurate and pleasant. Always a smile, even last Sunday with my TGH delivery.

The bitch at the counter is in another orbit, she’s rude to everyone!

I do think that it comes down to the carrier and the office they work for in the end, though they’re all getting slammed right now. For a while, I refused to use the one here and went to the office next town over ( similar drive time) because the manager of this one was a prick to deal with it was obvious that he was like that with staff too. It started to work better after he retired and the only reason I’m not going with them for mailing out the Ascender I’m getting rid of is that the UPS store has better hours than the USPS has.

The package I sent on the 9th, finally made it to Taiwan yesterday, and departed the airport, which means it'll sit at the customs warehouse for a couple days, it should be delivered Monday or Tuesday.

It bounced around several Chicago facilities for 2 weeks, before it got to O'Hare in the morning of the 22nd, and departed for Taiwan 10:30 that night.

i had a couple packages sent from california to my shipping forwarder via usps, it took 4 days to get to the miami usps office that delivers to my forwarder, and it just sat there over 16 days, my forwarder couldnt do anything about it, so i contacted the seller who inmediately sent new packages via priority and my forwarder received it 3 days later...same route, same shipper just priority, i feel bad for the seller who now has to deal with usps.

Ordered some screws from Amain on the 20th and they went through USPS. Got an email from Amain saying they shipped. USPS was silent the whole time, to only find out they were sitting in my P.O box for 3 days. Check USPS tracking, still says label created. Super delayed lol.

On the other hand, FedEx is on their game. I ordered my SCX10 ii kit, shipped through FedEx, on the 29th the next day they are already in Honolulu!

On the third hand, Amazon has lost not one, but both of my packages of my printer parts! This has made paying customers have to wait even longer than planned.

I had ordered from banggood mov 7 and shipping label an told it was shipped. But did not see any tracking information for over a month. Then on a whim decided to check and it was in my local distribution center and delivered back to back days. Now if my son's army truck shows up I will be happy. It literally is on the slow boat.

Well that explains why it was 2 weeks to send a package to my son's family in Cumming, GA. By the way that is a nice Hobby Shop you have with the train as you walk in!

Alright, I'll add my misery to this thread!

Placed an order on eBay on December 15. Order shipped out of California on December 16. Today is January 5 and tracking still shows it in LA, California.

Here is the tracking history:

Dec 15, 2020 Tracking number provided

Dec 15, 2020 Shipping label created USPS awaits item in Rosemead, CA

Dec 15, 2020 Pre-shipement info sent USPS awaits item in Rosemead, CA

Dec 16, 2020 Origin Acceptance in Rosemead, CA

Dec 16, 2020 Processed through USPS facility in Los Angeles, CA

Tracking says it is "In transit"

As of today January 5, I have no idea if it is still on its way or if it is lost!

That's all I have for now!

Default For What It's Worth On USPS

I’ve followed this for a long time. As a businessman, I had a daily ship out, and as a hobbiest I order far too much, as I live in the sticks.

That said my tally this year was 2 pieces lost or not shipped by USPS.
That’s less than 1% failure.
Now Federal Excuse, of 22 items(high end) shipped 6 failed to arrive when paid for next day. Most shipped from NYC, shipper not at fault according to FedExcuse as it was in their hands timely.
Big Brown, keeps plodding, raising rates, but no failures this year, much to my surprise!

What’s really changing things is the Amazon Prime fleet. Yup you do pay royally for it, but it’s there.

USPS consistently delivers on time or early for me. UPS has completely lost two packages in a row and has another currently in brown shadow realm, and Fed Ex seems to be incapable of not drop-kicking fragile items...

Also, to everybody who says the USPS isn't "profitable": as you said, it's not a business, it is in fact a service. Money goes in, package delivery comes out. It's not supposed to make a profit.

I'll go along with FedEx drop kick, last month I received an item shipped by them with the end broke off, it was a small 1hp outboard motor. They had to have thrown it to break the lower unit. The double boxing did not save it from punt, pass and kick.

Fedex and UPS only take a certain amount of Amazon pkgs. All the rest fall on USPS. USPS also does the last mile on some of the pkgs for Fedex and UPS. I asked the FEDEX driver what his highest pkg count was before Christmas 150. I also asked USPS driver what his was 398. I haven't seen the UPS driver to ask him.

Good news! My shipment arrived yesterday! I guess it wasn't lost after all!

Odd that this past Monday and Tuesday I did not get any mail. None! Normally everyday the USPS brings me junk mail that I don't want!

I ordered a bumper for the SCX10ii on Amazon and didn't realize it comes from China...shipping is a little over a month lol. Forgot to click that 'Prime' box. And it is one that everyone and their brother owns, not some awesome cool one worth waiting for.

EDIT: just checked Amazon again and it is in my mailbox. 15 days from Guangdong China to my doorstep in Florida. Not bad.

By chance I tracked my USPS package today. It pretty much hasn't updated since Dec 5th when I believe in came into the US. As of today, my package tracking has update and the package has left Chicago so I may actually get this thing somewhere along the way.....

Austin must be in some sort of reverse-Bermuda triangle...

I have been almost universally lucky with all shipments - even from China!

AsiaTees has a great shipping setup, both my MST CFX-W and my order of 2 WPL D12's came in a few days...

But I order from Amazon, eBay, forum members, and multiple RC vendors and I am thankful for the excellent service I have been getting.

You are lucky. My order was also from AsiaTees. Left their facility on Nov 28th. Mine updated overnight and should be in Philly now. Couple days I'm guessing.
