Default RC Construction Equipment

I'm looking into getting an RC excavator. I've been interested in them and their 1:1 counterpart for years now, and I'd like to see what's out there.

I'm not really interested in a "toy" model, I do want something that would actually be capable of digging. I am not sure yet what I'm willing to spend, but I do know they aren't cheap.

Is anyone on this forum into this, or might be able to recommend a forum I could join that specializes in this?

Thanks!

Thanks!
I received this for Christmas this year. I guess because I have a 1:1 cat. It digs well and operates like the real one. I believe this one goes for 700 to 800 new.

Wow that is steep. What did you have? I'll create an account with that forum.

I've been looking at the Lesu Komatsu (I'd prefer a Komatsu if possible, but I'm not making that a requirement). It looks to be around 4000 for the unpainted kit.

Lesu makes great stuff.
Not inexpensive but quality, even hydraulic fluid controls.

i would realy like some construction equipment but all i find is.1/14 scale i was thinking buying a toy model and then recreating it.in 1/8 scale
i plan to start with a semi first though i have started gathering parts already but the axles add up really fast so all i have so far is a front axle lol i figure ill start with the easyer one the excavator would be a hole lot of work but i realy want to give it.a.try someday lol

Thanks for the information guys.

From my research this far, 1/14 seems to be the "standard" for construction equipment. I don't know if anyone else in my area is in to this, but I'd kinda want to keep the scales similar.

Yeah that makes sense. A 1/8 excavator would be awesome!
