Default California snow as of 03/19/23.

Holy moly we've been getting pounded and sofar 52 FEET of snow have settled at the Berkley snow lab. Never in my life, have I heard of that much.

I'll be able to go snowboarding year round, I think.
SoCal has just as much and combined, all that snow pack will bring many places out of the drought.

Most of that melt/run off will be diverted directly to the Ocean.
That is in your State Laws... Has been for over 5 years from my understanding.....

I've lived 33 of my 42 years in Southern California.

Every summer has been a "drought" regardless of how much rain fell in winter / spring.

This upcoming summer will probably be called the worst "drought" in CA history, even after record rainfall. Which is why I stopped listening to the news and CA politicians 15 years ago.

They're either lying every year, or mismanaging the rainfall every year and not changing their policies. Ferp420 for Governor!

2000/01 Elnino the snow at mammoth and June were above the peaks of the main lodges. This amount blows my mind. Sadly much of it will end up in the ocean, Tule lake is starting again, maybe lake of LA will be full and the salton sea will be flushed out? Haha

Mind blown. That's gotta be some kind of record.

We have 0" of recorded snowfall here in SE PA. Zero. My snowplow has dust bunnies on it.

Mammoth got 66 feet in the 2010-11 season, which is the current record. They're up to 55 feet this season, which means the lodge will likely be operating into summer.

And yes, can confirm-- according to the talking heads, every year is a drought in SoCal, every summer hotter than the last, every winter colder than the last. It's a miracle any of us survive.

On the days it actually rains, the news has to take a break from complaining about the drought to complain about the rain.
