|  When I pee it burns.... it's that Jeep thing.
I'm a Toyota guy, wheel Toyota's, work at a Toyota dealership and can only drive Toyotas. Well, when you reach the age of 30, things happen... I'm calling it my mid-life crisis. The wife just calls me crazy and I need to stop making things up. For the last frew weeks I have been secretly hunting down some Jeeps. Drove a few and looked at many. Couldn't find any I really liked for what I wanted to spend and nothing had the options I was looking for but when a deal comes in front of you I guess you have to bite the bullet and go for it. Last night I came home with this........... 2001 TJ Sport, 54K miles, 4.0L w/ auto tranny.... rear axle is the puny 35c. That's okay though. It has a ton of stuff though........ K&N filter, Optima red top, multi-disc CD player(don't know how to use as I hate radios), speaker box thing on "roll bar", rear wiper, defroster in rear glass, nice Weld wheels w/ 31" Pro-Crap muds, Bushwacker cut-out flares, center console, locking hood lockdown thingys and more stuff but have yet to really notice. No time to just hang out around it since it's dark now. My camera sucks for evening/night shoots so the lot pictures will have to do.....  .jpg)  Wake up this morning, got to sleep in as it's my day off. Look out in the driveway and the Jeep is gone. Get a call from the wife telling me how much fun it is to drive, just what I need.... my rig in the hands of my wife. So now the Toyota family has only Jeeps in the driveway  The wifes black ZJ and my TJ...although I have no idea how long the TJ will still be mine.

Of course today i find pretty much what I was looking for at a local Jeep dealership, day early or a day late... I'll deal with what I have now. I paid $14K for it... seems a bit much but I saw many for about the same price that were trashed or had mechanical issues. I'm the second owner and it's been a local rig, well, on the Westside of town. I also have to convince myself that the price tag would have worked out if I would have purchased all the aftermarket goodies later. Quote:
