On-Road Gurus Help

Ok, I am an off road only guy, but a possible deal has come my way. Don't know much as of now, but hopefully I'll learn more soon.

A "collectables" shop near my work has what appears to be about 1/6th scale replica of a Jeff Gordon Nascar. He said it is 20 volt? Not sure if I heard him right. It is complete, appears in good condition, and he wants $130 for it. I plan on going back next wek, and finding out more, mainly a brand name, and do some searching.

Has anyone heard of, or seen something similar to this description? I'd say the overall length was 3ft, with an 8 to 9" height and roughly 14" width.

Any ideas? Do you think it's worth it? I know nothing about on-road stuff, but the size is kinda drawing me to it!

it sounds like it's more of a collectable, sit-on-your shelf kinda car. i bet it has a case too huh?

Maybe if it wasn't Jeff Gordon :flipoff:

Seriously, getting a closer look at it without the body to determine if it is a hobby grade car. If it is, its worth it. If its just a toy, its probibly not worth it and was meant to sit on a shelf.

He didn't have a display, but said he has the origional box for it.

Also, the controller was a light blue color, and didn't look like a "normal" pistol grip radio.

It didn't look like a 1/4 scale, but then I never have seen a 1/4th. scale in person.

I'll try and get back over there early next week. As for actually buying it.... That might take some doing, as I just dropped over $450 on my twin force, and the wife is giving me "looks" when I mentioned it to her.
