Default Anodizing

Will you pay for this service.
I've checked to see the cost of farming it out (also called outsourcing ) and at $105 to $150 a color minimum charge, it wouldn't be worth our time to it this way.

so I've looked at setting up my own. Basically my cost to get set the chemicals would be $144 before shipping with 8 colors.
I'm working on setting it up somewhere other than my home and would be doing it on Saturdays only. I have small children at home and don't feel comfortable having the chemicals (sulfuric acid) around the house.

this is a poll to see if you all would pay for this service.
I'll take the number of yes and do the math with that. This will also set up the minimum cost for you.

Once I've established that there is enough interest I'll take pre-orders while the supplies are being shipped along with your parts. This is the most cost effeciant way that I can think of to benefit all of us.

I'm not sure about stripping and everything at first but will include that when I feel comfortable doing the extra service.

this is to benefit you.
So post your thoughts, comments whatever.
Thanks

i think it would be a good idea to get another vendor into doing this. it would help out a lot. this is also something that could be good for you, as it would probably increase sales because there would be barely any wait on your own parts that you sell.

Well after doing a little reasearch and a finding out everything I'd need to do a good job at I've decided not to give anodizing a try.
The costs of disposing of chemicals and everything else involved just sounds like a headace.
Besides powder coating your stuff would be better anyway.

Thanks to thoses that participated.

Well with that attitude I vote NO.

PC is the way to go over all.

i disagree, powdercoating is too think of a coating for a decent appearance on r/c cars. why do you think aftermarket parts for every other rc car on the planet are annodized. ive never really been impressed by any PC'd parts ive seen around here on RCC...
