Best Diesel in a Truck

My dad is in the market for a large diesel truck, like a 1 ton dually. And he only wants a diesel one, so whats the best diesel engine in a truck out there? Cummins and Dodge, Duramax and Chevy/GMC, or International and Ford? Please post any info on this subject you can. His last diesel was a dud -kinda because it was really old- and now I want my dad to get the best diesel out there. Any info is appreciated. Vote in the pole, too. ;-)"thumbsup"

The cummins has the most low end torpue. me and my dad test drove the new 6.7 l cummins and it was by far a great motor and we did a small burn out with the truck.

wow... looks like cummins it is. LOL....almost EVERYONE loves cummins. Alrighty, it looks like its gonna be a cummins in a dodge. We are going to the dealership today to look around at some Dodges....

I base my vote on real life situations. The black mesa coal mine in Northern AZ.

they have a 40+ line of ford and chevy trucks that have died from the abuse they put on the trucks.........only one dodge in the line......the rest are still in service

most of the chevies have litterally cracked in half, the frames gave out.

I highly doubt my dad would go out an buy a dodge with a cummins, pull the cummins out, and stick a Detroit in it. He is not one to mess with new cars. Old cars on the other hand....
