This is pretty sick (literally). P.S. Don't look if you are squeemish. It's the aftermath of a bite. http://thefuntimesguide.com/images/b...bite_Day10.jpg |

My best friend got bit by one a year ago. The bite turned black and orange dots started forming and we literally had to force him into the car to take him to see a doctor. If he would of went a day earlier he would not have a giant dent in his leg from them scrapping the dead tissue out. It was pretty gnarly seeing him lance it so the fluid would not build up. He was a tuff guy I will give him that.

I dont think either of you would be able to stomp on one these little fawkers. They are damn fast. My buddies girl went to sit on a rock the other day and there was one right where she was. It jumped about 2 feet in the air and took off through the grass. We both saw it but there was no way that we could have stepped on it. | ||

Wolf spiders and Brown Recluse spiders are two different spiders, just to be clear. Brown Recluse spiders have about the nastiest non-lethal bite going. The venom kills/digests the flesh around the bite. Wolf spider bites cause swelling, pain, irritation, and in some cases flu-like symptoms. I've been bitten twice by wolf spiders, and woke up one night to a tickling sensation on my leg, flipped on the light, and lifted my sheet, and saw the outline of a Brown Recluse on the sheet - it was on the topside of the sheet, crawling up towards me. Needless to say he met a very messy end shortly after I extracted myself from under the sheet (about .0002 sec).

That bite was either from a brown recluse or a yellow-sac spider. These are the two most prevelant spiders in this part of the world that cause necrosis of the tissues surrounding the bite. The yellow sac is one of the more common spiders found within them average American home, they can be found lurking in the upper corners of your walls. Everyone fears the wolf spider mostly because of rumors and its menacingly large appearance. Its bite is not particularly dangerous though. |
