Watch out for spiders, some have nasty bites like the Wolf (Brown Recluse) spider that bit me. Every time I stand up for more than 15 min. my ankle swells up bad and feels like its going to pop and the pain that shoots down to my ankle and up my leg, fever and cold sweats.....

rockmike 08-04-2007 04:50 PM

Wolf Spider Bite

Even though the wolf spider is poisonous, its venom is not lethal. The wolf spider is not known to be aggressive; however, they will bite if they feel like they are in harm or danger. They also move extremely fast when they are disturbed. If bitten by a wolf spider, the wound should not be bandaged but an ice pack should be placed on the bite so that the swelling will go down. And if necessary the victim should avoid any movement if at all possible. It is extremely important that one sees medical attention if bitten by a wolf spider or any other spider.

I read that and the more research I do the more I think its a Brown Recluse bite. http://www.badspiderbites.com/necrot...m-syndrome.php
I'm sure it was last Tuesday night out in the garage working on my crawler, but the payoff was the new speed controler my brother got me, the new Novak Rooster Crawler,

Did someone say wolf spider? I loved the reaction I got the first time I posted this picture I took. :)

Just imagine all those little babies on her back... and just one may have caused that bump on his leg.

tha pic just gave me the willys.

From what I have seen Brown Recluse bites can cause the flesh and muscle tissue to become infected and die! Very bad!

And for that picture, the only thing worse than a nasty spider is one with 3 or 4 hundred babies on it's back! STOMP!!

Moondust1950 08-04-2007 08:17 PM

I hate spiders:? I think I just sh$$ a brick:shock:

Never had one as bad as you guys though.

Link, I'd ice that bite and the ankle/foot area when they swell...couple times per day. Did ya go to the DOc?
