| Some hard advice for stones
Well r2j...I have some good news for you.....and some bad news too Once you have one, you get the joy of more in the future (I've had them since my late 20's...I'm near 50 now) Ok, now the good news...there are a few things you can do to help yourself... Drink LOTS of water...all the time (I go through a minimum of a gallon per day) Get some Uva Ursi :http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/uva-ursi-000278.htm and take it every day... Get a stone tested, find out what's causing them and adjust your diet accordingly. Keep a small supply of pain pills around, you'll be needing them And, when you feel the onset of a stone (you will learn to predict when your ready to pass one) walk around...get your @$$ moving! this will help move the stone through your urinal tract... (Fresh blood in your urine means the stone is moving, dried blood means it's stopped). Good luck kid NooB |

Yes take the pain pills and sleep! Get it analyzed to see the composition. Lots of water and diet adjustments. I now do not eat any red meat, quit putting salt on everything, drink less milk and eat less cheese. Its something your going to have to make yourself do and be very thoroughabout keeping track of your diet. Good luck and YES most likely u will have more in the future...just the way it goes. Oh and as far as water goes drink bottled spring water has less Calcium in it than tap water which is most likely the main culpritt of your stones. Good luck and I hope u feel better fast!

I passed 6 so far in the last couple years. Mine were cholesterol based an are super jagged things. First one I passed was in the middle of the night. i figured I was dying it hurt so badly. Especially when I started pissing blood. It hurt so badly I spontaneously threw up at the worst point. The next one wasn't as bad because I knew what it was this time and I had pain pills. |

Yea the first one I had was jagged and had a hook on it. It moved down into my Urethra and got stuck. I was peeing blood until this and them I wasn't peeing at all. I was in surgery within the hour and they shatterd it. The pain is unbelievable and seeing blood come out your penis is enough to make you cringe!

Like a pearl, except jagged. Never had one probly never will. I never drink soda, eat lean, drink a minimum of a gallon of water a day, and exercise every day for at least 1 and a half hours. Also catch that bad boy, and post up a pic. It would be an awsome souvinere. Sorry to hear your having trouble Jarod. |

Making me hurt just thinking about it. Hope it all works out. looks like I'd better start drinking more water. If mt. dew does that I wonder what energy drinks will do. I have 2 or 4 a day then a crap load of Diet Coke on top of that, just to exhausted to drink water. |

Get some cranberry extract pills, or drink water in excess, or cranberry juice.

| How can you be too tired to drink water? I drink a hell of a lot of water. Then again I've also had a woman take a scalpel to my balls too, so I'm no stranger to pain in the area. It is never a good thing to hear "ok, that 3rd shot should numb you up... finally". |

And, I've had four stones removed via surgery over the years...passed countless others on my own. All mine were potassium based. Looked like little burrs....(makes my nads ache just remembering it). Last one was 4mm NooB
