Angry Post Whores

Why do people post chit chat in my threads?

Is there some reason people have to clutter threads with posts about things unrelated to the thread?

All the time I am reading about axle's or ESC's and I read:

"My mom kicked me off last night so I had to go to bed..."

Or:

"one time I had a dog like the one in your pic"

Or:

"That looks just like:"

Or:

"This one time at band camp."

Or just some other BS that has nothing to do with the thread.

Although a lot of the time its just funny, some of the time it is annoying to read through and have to weed through the chitchat to get to the tech.

What gives? Is RCC just a romper room?

I think more moderation is needed. What about you what do you think?

I ordered that Xantrex Truecharge 20+ like JIA has because I found it for a really good price. What came in was a 40+. I contacted the seller, he said "keep it, you won the auction and that's the unit I had".

Way more power than I actually need to charge the one battery. I guess I'm going to have to find me a couple big AH 6v batteries now.

I should be able to get this mounted and installed tonight. If so, I'll post up pics of all these goodies. I better install an alarm with all these gizmos around these guys at nat's.

As already stated, if there is a BS post in a tech thread hit the report post button and it will notify the mod. We try our best to keep the tech threads, tech related, but we all have lives, and jobs, and working/playing with the RCCs outside of RCC.

It's funny, "tech" threads are full of the stuff, "that's neat" "you've got skillz" "you're my hero" "now we know where you've been".

All of which adds nothing to the tech aspect.

Funniest part is it isn't the newbs who are doing it. It's guys who have been on the board for a while, with post counts in the thousands. There are some guys who seem to pipe their 2 cent's into every thread on the board, and usually it's not tech that they are adding.

Wanna play a fun game, pick the guys with the highest post counts you can find, then look at "see additional posts" for them. See how much tech or useful opinions they have added to the discussions, and how much is just useless banter.

'Round these parts, we call them folks "WEB WHEELERS"
